I was thoroughly impressed with this place! Very clean, organized, spacious, cozy and modern. Lots of places to just hang out, plug in, charge up and get work done from a computer or phone. They also have basketball courts and an indoor running track (1/10th mile). I addition to that, they have daily and weekly programs/activities that are all free for Sterling Heights residents and $3/each for non- residents. Examples are pick-up games of basketball abd pickly ball, jhst to name a few. Definitely worth checking out 😁🤘

March 2023 - came here to see my daughter's art work from Utica schools. What a nice and very large building. A lot of conference rooms. Places to do things from basketball to karate. They had something with computers near the front door. Very clean building. I couldn't get to the gym but they had a track up top. Very cool building and if you can't park by the building. Across the street is the library and you can park there for free.

This’s my 4th time using this newly built facility. Sterling Heights did an excellent job utilizing the space to put walking and running tracks. 2 spacious indoor basketball courts that can be used for badminton, rocket all or for toddlers to play with the toys they provide on Mondays and Thursdays. Plenty of lockers around. Everything in this community center is well built, clean and meaningful.

There’s an elder man who works there usually when I see him he wears a lighter blue shirt and I believe he wears glasses. He is extremely rude to me and my friends. My first incident was when me and my friend were sitting close and he came up and screamed at us with no explanation of what we did wrong. He immediately started going off on how they made him “babysit” us and never explained what happened. We later then asked another employee who kindly explained but defended the old man once we explained our side. Another time we were in the gym playing volleyball when he ended it a couple minutes and when a group of people started asking why he swore (after yelling at many kids to watch their language) and told us we needed to listen to him and he needs time to clean the gym. After this we sat in the from of the building where we were waiting for our rides and he walked out of the gym after cleaning and we still would have had 13-15 minutes to play. And again after reporting him to the front desk...

We love the Sterling Heights Community Center. In addition to a whole slew of programs offered for the whole family which you can register to sign up for on the Sterling Heights website they have a great indoor track and gym area. It's also great for students to get a study group together in the lounging areas! Only thing not happy about them taking up the entire gym for election vote counting so nobody can use the track after it not being open all weekend during Sterling Fest. That could be handled in a different of many other rooms...
