The Fire Place — Local services in Stigler

Edited to add The owner has apparently replied... 10 years later, lol. And not one thing that was said in that reply is truth. We were told NO such things. We were simply told our fireplaces were all "fine" and how to."safely" use them. And when our home filled with smoke doing so, we were pretty much bawled out by the owner for complaining and told we were "not in the DFW area and not to expect service like we were" in a crappy note he sent with our returned check. So, use this company at your own risk. I stand by what I said; I have no reason to have lied. Rude, incompetent, and beyond terrible customer service. Fortunately for us we are no longer anywhere near this area and have wonderful options of gracious, competent fireplace companies now to service our fireplaces safely. 🥰

Horrible! Dangerous and incompetent. We requested fireplace inspections on 3 fireplaces in a newly purchased home; we were told they were fine and we could light a fire. We followed instructions EXACTLY as given by the inspectors, (opening flue etc) and our entire downstairs was full of black smoke within a couple hours. If we had gone to bed earlier, we could have been poisoned by smoke. When confronted the next day, the owner claimed their job was "to look for safety concerns not function unless problem was previously noted" - in our view, function and safety are one and the same, with a fireplace. And I clearly stated the function was unknown at the time of inspection, since we had never used any of them and just bought the house a year ago. He returned our check with a nasty note saying he felt "ripped off". No concern for our family. No apology for what happened, nor offer to re-inspect it. He told us "good luck finding anyone to fix your problem in this area". I was shocked by his unkindness and lack of concern. The owner need not worry - we would never use this...

Our double wall pipe separated last year while cleaning. I have had two other company’s come out and both said the only way this be fixed is to remove the rock around our fireplace to provide access and both billed me a large bill to just show up take a look and say sorry but can’t fix this. I called The Fire Place and the next day two technicians showed up and made repairs in less than two hours. They both were also professional and explained what they did to repair along with other tips to keep our fireplace operable for the future. We called because we had moister coming into our house when it rained. There was no manufacturer name on our fireplace so David had to do some research. Once he had the specifications he called with a quote and suggested glass doors would save on utilities. We agreed on a price and scheduled a day to come and repair the fireplace.They were on time and professional. They also gave us a copy of the specs for our records. I love the smoky glass doors!
