Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Stigler

My wife and I stopped here in the middle of a long drive. We were excited to see there was a playset for our 2 year old to kind of give him a break on the long trip. My wife walks our dog, let's him do his thing, and then goes over to let our son play. She opens the gate, let's our son go in, then closes it and stays out of the play area with our dog. The store manager, Sue Putnam, comes out and castigates my wife for having our dog over there, even though the dog WAS NOT INSIDE THE PLAY AREA. The manager sends a worker out to the area with a bucket of water to wash off wherever the dog was....again even though he wasnt in the play area AT ALL. My wifes come back to the car, humiliated by the store manager for something she did not do. Horrible leadership and customer service.

Beyond the customer service experience, our food was sub par. My gravy was practically water, the burger tasted old, and our milkshake was runny and left a horrible after taste. I cannot recommend this sonic any less.

This place needs to have more training on how to either read or take orders. Just went thru Drive thru after waiting 30 mins in Drive thru. Ordered a Smasher Burger combo hold the pickles fresh cooked. When I got to the window told them my order AGAIN. Employee repeated my order back AGAIN. Employee after waiting at the window for about 8 mins. I was given my food. Absolutely no warmth to fries and I handed them right back to the employee. I got home and they had given me a Double Cheeseburger. Like I said someone needs to learn how to read or learn how to listen. Yes, I'm quite sure I got cheated for the burger that I got versus what I paid for, but of course I have no way of proving this because when I asked for a receipt they were out of PAPER!!!Could not complain because noone answered the phone!!!Unacceptable and Unsatisfactory!!!The 1 Star was for putting the Greasy Napkin in the bag. Whenever I am in the Warner area I stop here to eat. They have delicious burgers and great fries. I also love the Route 44 drinks. Always have to get a to go meal as well for my wife we both love their food. I also like the fact that it is a lot like the old drive ins of the past. And remember to tip your server they are on their feet most of the day and still give you a smile when serving. That ought to be worth something. I like to order a BLT and a Route 44 Root beer or Cherry Vanilla limeade in the summer when it's hot and a burger just seems too heavy a meal. I also like the fact that you can order anything on the menu all day long unlike the other burger joints around.
