Stockholm Gardens — Local services in Stockholm

My father bought many items from Stockholm Gardens as he was a big supporter of local businesses. His last purchase was two crabapple trees from them several years ago. One recently died. A neighbor suggested I call them to see if they would replace it or give any kind of deal on a new one as she mentioned they had replaced things for my father before. I never thought they would do anything but she encouraged me just to call and ask which I did. I spoke to a woman who very rudely said right off the bat, ‘so you’re actually asking us to replace a tree from several years ago, are you KIDDING ME??’ And scoffed at me for asking if there was anything that could be done even though I never asked her to replace anything and worded it like I expected nothing! When I said AGAIN, my neighbor was the one who suggested I just call them and why is she practically making fun of me? Her response was... ‘but you’re the one bringing it up!’ She then tried to tell me the trees were planted 10 to 15 years ago I said nowhere near that long, then says, well how long has your dad been gone, I said four years. She proceeded to tell me how they would never stay in business if they went around replacing trees, I again said I never actually asked you to replace it I was asking just if anything could be done like a deal or not and I didn’t think so, I was literally JUST ASKING. I said I was always taught it never hurt to ask. I asked her why she was being so rude to me and she just hung up on me. I’ll never buy a damn thing from them, I cannot get over the rudeness I was subjected to, especially by an older woman who clearly should have known better. I don’t care if she works there or is an owner, ALL she had to do was say no there’s nothing we can do and I would have expected that as I made it clear I didn’t think they would. She had absolutely zero reason to be rude to me but chose to be anyway. Thats all I need to know about them. If you’d like the name of my neighbor Beth that told me to call just let me know and I’ll tell you. She was absolutely mortified she ever suggested that I call you in the first place so yes the neighbor does exist. As far as my NINETY year old father owing money, he’s been gone almost 5 years and that’s news to me ! When exactly did you tell me this previously? The answer is never! So your comment of ‘no offer to pay either’ is all the more ridiculous. But if you want to go ahead and make it sound like my father screwed you over, go right ahead, I’m sure it will get you more fans. I don’t even believe you since my father hardly had trouble paying people. I can assure you I’m not your only critic in town....

Shopping in Stockholm with several friends and stopped by this quaint little garden shop / nursery as there were several in our party that love to garden.

It was the end of the growing season (fall) and they had a few of their perennials on clearance. Other perennials, items in their shop, and barn were full price (their business, their choice). We picked up a few items but would have spent quite a bit more if they had discounted all perennials, planters, pots and other gardening sundries.

Owner was friendly and helpful I would definitely recommend them and stop back again when I was in the area. If I could give 4.75...

What a big and splendid nursery! Honestly this place is much more than just a plant nursery, it's also an antique store, a store for trinkets and gifts, garden supply stuff, garden decorations... I especially love the statues. My parents have gotten some good statues here before, but my taste is more of the Greek/Roman style statues or the monks which they do also have here.
