Jim is an amazing owner and so kind and generous. I watched him several times joke with kids and even try to give free cards away to a customer who still wanted to pay him. Jim then turned around and gave a little boy in the shop the money and told him to go get whatever he wanted.

He gave me a great deal on toys that no other comic shop would take. Jim also was looking for a Hulk poster he wanted to give to me for free for my nephew and told me when he finds it he will call me. He is an honest, small business owner. Even just stop by and talk to him, he will keep you laughing and entertained forever.

I plan to go back with my little brothers to play pinball and have a great time.

Place has been around for years, but it's in a rough spot of Stockton. When I was there, I overheard the owner speaking to another customer about vandals "running their car through the front of the store and stole a bunch of stuff." Didn't give me a great feeling to want to be there long.

Misc. offerings from action figures and displays to cards, to HotWheels, and memorabilia. Many, many comic books in cardboard boxes line the floors in the middle of the store, creating a claustrophobic feeling that makes it uneasy to browse. There are no areas for groups to come set up games on a table with very little, if any, board games offered at all for that matter.

Having been in town for a brief visit with relatives, I wanted to try to check out the local comic shops. Grapevine is a nice looking shop, but the Silver Age Marvel books I was looking for were either out of reach or completely hidden in a back room. The two I asked about were not priced and it took the guy (who was nice enough and apologetic) about 20 minutes between fumbling with the internet and calling the owner to get a price for two Good condition Tales of Suspense. The prices I was quoted was about twice what they were worth. This shop is a good reason Ebay exists. Maybe one time is not a fair conclusion, but I couldn't afford to shop...
