Hate posting this because I love this place. Hopefully it was just an off day. I waited for the cashier to finish unwrapping a roll of pennies and acknowledge me for the name on my called in order which wasn't ready. That's fine, I shopped around and watched customers come and go. Finally, the last order came up but cashier wasn't there. When she did return, she walked past the food and started talking to the cook behind the counter that my food was sitting. It has been quite some time since my last visit. However, I will not be returning. Perhaps the store has changed ownership, or perhaps the quality has simply declined. I am unsure where the positive reviews originate, but they may reflect different standards than my own. My order consisted of three hot dogs and an order of tater tots. I appreciate this place so much. My family and I shop here several times a week. They have a wonderful selection of drinks and snacks and we get food from their grill a lot because it’s quick, convenient and delicious. They often have produce like bananas and tomato’s which means I don’t have to go all the way to Madison or mayodan for one little item.
