Do not shop with them you will regret it, if I could I would give them zero stars. Customer service is below par, whole story below it's long as they made mistake at every step of the order. 08/20: placed order online for a couch for delivery on 08/30. Order got cancelled on 08/29 because this item was not available. I had taken a day off work. 09/04: order is back in stock so placed order for it to be delivered between 8am and 1pm on 09/16 by RXO. Drivers were supposed to call 45min before arrival and then on arrival. No phone call boxes dumped in front of my building in the street at 6pm while at work. Boxes are of a 300lbs couch. Next day (boxes spent 1 night outside) after many hours on the phone with RXO and Ikea, got confirmed that drivers are coming today. Called RXO 3 different times to confirm, everyone say "yesterday they are coming". Nobody came. 2nd night outside. No contact from Ikea but a phone call from RXO asking me if the drivers can come for the boxes on 09/16 so 10 days later... Got fined by condo association $50 for boxing being left outside and informed that I will be fine $50 a day from now on. Called Ikea and rep suggested a hire someone and Ikea will refund. $200 later boxes are inside (i moved to this country 2 months ago for work and do not know anyone who could help so had to pay). Was offered $100 gift card and delivery fee refund. Couch is being assembled and there is a missing piece, calling Ikea telling them it's urgent as couch was ordered for my mom arriving a few days later. Ikea confirmed they will sent the missing piece before 10/01. Couple of days later order is cancelled for no reason. Had to spend 2 hours again on the phone with Ikea. 09/30: Item will arrive on 10/01. Ikea refunded the original delivery fee, said they send the gift card by mail but I have not so they had to create another case. Refus to reimburse the condo association fee of $50 and $200 for professional helpers to bring theirs boxes inside the room of my choice.
We aer now 1 month later, $250 minus on my account, 0 gift card and the couch/ sleeper is still unusable. Do not use the chat out is useless. People on the phone have 0 compassion and line automatically drops when the issue becomes too complicated. Used Ikea for 20 years in Europe never had these issues or this level of unprofessionalism. Never again will I...
Read moreTheir prices are amazing! I actually organized my entire pantry using 9 "Sockerbits" for $3.99 each for a total of $35.91!! If I had gone to The Container Store one container for about the same size (15"L x 9"W x 6"H) was over 4 times that price, and Amazon was only slightly cheaper then the Container Store. (I used a package of English muffins and a 15 oz can of pumpkin to help visualize the size.)
Oftentimes, the lids are an additional price, but with IKEA the lids were INCLUDED. I also appreciated how the lids snapped on to the containers, as well as how easy it is to unsnap the lids while maintaining a solid seal. Some of the other stores' containers are difficult, forcing you to really pull at their lids - sometimes breaking a nail 😔. I am so glad that I shopped around because if I had stayed with The Container Store, the same pantry organization would have cost me between $200 and $300 and it would not have looked as nice. IKEA saved me a ton of money and the quality surpasses the other store options.
The only downside is trying to leave IKEA. It can feel like a frustrating corn maze. 🫨. Just keep heading for the lighting department, then through the plants and you will be well on your way to the cashiers. That store layout used to be the only thing keeping me from shopping there more often, until I learned how to exit quickly. Without knowing how to exit can be an anxiety-inducing experience especially if you have time constraints or an emergency. So that is the ONLY reason why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, I would have given it a six! 😉💕 I have a very tiny pantry, and IKEA has been a Godsend! Ooooh, the feeling of utter peace walking in there now So if you ever have considered reorganizing your pantry but were dissuaded due to the price of containers, think again because it CAN be done...
Read moreIKEA, wasn't the same like the very first time me and my whole entire family went and drove from Worcester MA, to this IKEA , in June of 2019 ,for the limited edition (" PRIDE reusable shopping tote bags ") they had. We did indeed get them the second day, the first day they were completely sold- out within one day of them. In March of 2020 , after dropping off my Oldest Sister and her husband off at Boston Logan Airport we'd all Decided to go to ikea, as a family, while going there We were all very disappointed the store was under renovation, in addition, the staff wasn't super helpful or polite.
They didn't have much at that point in time. The first time we Ever went there they had very cute stuff you need stuff that was different from other places you know that was bright and cheerful & not onlu your basic white and traditional colors Furniture and stuff. I wasn't super impressed 😕 either this visit , all we brought was Ice cream scooper & a 5 mini PRIDE reusable tote bags that were $1.49 ea. Also, a large PRIDE reusable shopping tote to we brought as an extra to keep or give as a gift in the future! While Listening to story we did eat the hot dogs they they were not that fresh tasting, they differently tasted like they've been either re- cooked or sat out too long. Not super fresh taste. In addition, We've all noticed that the Quality of the products at the store went down a bit , and prices were so much higher. Not sure if I'll be coming back anytime soon, only way that I'll be coming back to this IKEA is if my oldest Sister comes back up to visit us over the summer & wants to go to ikea that's probably the one & only reason we're ever maybe go back ,otherwise not to luckily anytime in the near future soon. I wasn't inspired...
