Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Suffolk

I drove out to Tractor Supply on Friday to get a suede kit because the one close to me couldn't find it. I walked in and went to look and still couldnt find it. My husband said it was at Tractor Supply and I really wanted to find it. I talked to Pam Garrett. She was at the front on the cash register. She was so nice and helpful. She told Olivia and they were waiting on another customer but Olivia said she be right back. She came back and looked it up and walked me over to where it was and I ended up getting two. Pam Garrett ask if we found it. You may think this sounds like nothing but you have no idea how much it meant to me just having them actually help me and going above and beyond to make sure I got what I was looking for. This should truly be a 5 star review. Everyone was so friendly and extremely helpful. I can't give it 5 stars because in the midst of wonderful service, Pam suddenly declares to us that she upped and moved out of Suffolk with the first 'Black Lives Matters' flag that went up in her neighborhood. My husband let her know we have one (similar) in our yard and walked away. She was unphased by it and continued to share her opinion and how life is better in the country away from those people. We are not black. We come from a mind set that ALL LIVES MATTER. When I walk into your store, I go in assuming that I matter and that ANYONE matters and is welcome to shop there. So this just happened to me today 11/11/21 around 1600. I went to get my dog some food, it was a white older gentleman in front of me. The cashier Pamela said “thank you for your service if you’ve served” didn’t ask for military id or anything. Of course the gentleman accepted the discount without showing proof. It’s my turn to check out. I’m an African American female that is currently serving in the Navy and have been for the past 20yrs.
