December 12, 2024 - I received an email from the assistant manager, Brisa, saying I have to pay a move out bill. I asked her for a copy of my ledger and have yet to get a response. I've emailed y'all three times now. If you're looking to rent an apartment look elsewhere. I'm urging you to NOT MOVE HERE. After you move in they WILL IGNORE YOU. They set up events to make the property look good, but look at the landscape and garbage everywhere. The crossing entrace gate is ALWAYS WIDE OPEN. What's the point of the app if you're gonna left the gates open. If you want to move somewhere nice I suggest Walden Pond near Westhiemer, I got a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment for UNDER $1,100. Tell them Yessica referred you.
October 15, 2024 - They finally sent me a copy of my 60 days notice after I called every day for 2 weeks straight and emailing them several times.
October 11, 2024 - I have yet to receive a callback from anyone or an email. I have sent numerous emails and even tried calling todat at 1:30 PM and no answer, I can't even leave a voicemail. What is going on with this property????
October 7, 2024 - I have been ignored for over a WEEK about my 60 days notice. I've sent multiple emails and even contacted management (GPI Management) and have gotten 0 response. I was told I was rude for trying to take a photo of a leasing agent since she couldn't sign it and that I'd get an email after the MANAGER signed it. I don't know if they're just deleting my emails or what but this is wrong.
August 1, 2022- My AC has not been working for over 3 WEEKS NOW. They sent me a renewal paper and expect me to pay my bill on time AND THEY CANT EVEN FIX MY AC! This is unbelievable of a complex. I have lived here for over 3 years and have never been like this. My AC was usually fixed within a day or two but no ITS STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY. I even called on Saturday from 1-5 PM and no one answered the phone. Leasing agents can’t even pick up the phone. Do not move here unless you check that the apartment is fully functioning. Check AC, fridge and all light bulbs. Also check that the water is hot/cold. My AC has been going from 75° - 80° in the past 4 days. I even contacted gpi management and nothing has been done, this is unbelievable.
May 5th 2022 - Issue was fixed I just paid the rent with the help of my mom, thank you GPI management for reaching out. Manager solved problem, I’ve never been late and this is the first time sorry about that.
May 2nd 2022/May 3rd 2022 - Dude they put me on hold FOR AN HOUR after hanging up on me multiple times! I WAS CALLING ABOUT MY RENT THAT IS DUE TODAY AFTER YOU GUYS SAID YOU WOULD CALL BACK YESTERDAY. I will be emailing GPI Management about this so that I do not receive late fees. Read moreCAUTION DO NOT RENT HERE* 5/17/17- I have been residing here approximately 10 days now and this has been by far the worse rental experience I have encountered. Upon moving in there are several maintenance request that were put in however only two have been complete. I have been without a functional refrigerator which means I cant put food in there due to it not getting cold enough, I've had to spent $50 dollars of my own money to control the roaches infested here. ( I've had roaches in the refrigerator included), I have no hot water in the bathroom sink it which means I have to use the bath shower to substitute a sink. I was also without a working stove until recently. The best asset of this complex is Lashandra your leasing agent she is very helpful given the circumstances. I can see she tries her best to accommodate the residents

POWER OUTAGES FROM OLD BREAKERS ...I BEEN HERE A MONTH NOW AND I STILL SEE ROACHES AFTER GETTING MY APT SPRAYED EVERY FRIDAY OF THE MONTH OF MAY 2017.... THE RESIDENTS KEEP THE PLACE TRASHY , FURNITURE ALWAYS SURROUNDING DUMPSTER ALONG WITH TRASH .... CATS EVERYWHERE HENCE THE TRASH ... MAINTENANCE WILL LEAVE YOU FOR DEAD IN THE HEAT ...HOWEVER NEW GUY HIRED RECENTLY IS DECENT ... I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL MAY 2018 MY LEASE WILL BE OVER AND I WILL BE FREE .... 5/31/18 UPDATE - STILL BY FAR THE WORST APARTMENTS I EVER LIVED IN. MY LEASE IS OVER JULY 7TH AND I'M ECSTATIC THAT THIS NIGHTMARE IS ALMOST OVER. I'VE HAD THIS APT SPRAYED WEEKLY FOR MONTHS AND THE ROACHES ARE PERMANENT RESIDENTS HERE THEY WILL NOT LEAVE SO I BASICALLY JUST WORKED OUT A AGREEMENT WITH THEM (ROACHES) TO NOT COME OUT WHEN I HAVE COMPANY. THEY HAVE BROKEN THIS AGREEMENT SEVERAL TIMES. SO I CHOSE NOT TO HAVE COMPANY AT ALL, ESPECIALLY OVERNIGHT. I HAVEN'T COOKED IN THIS DUMP DUE TO BEING TOO SCARED ROACHES WILL GET IN MY FOOD. THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING. AND YES CLEAN CONSTANTLY AND BARLEY PUT FURNITURE IN THE APT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO TAKE ANY ROACHES WITH ME WHEN MY LEASE IS UP.
OH AND THE WALLS ARE VERY THIN I HEAR ALARM CLOCKS, MUSIC, GAY SEX, ETC CONSTANTLY. AND IF YOU MOVE HERE BEWARE TO SMELL AFRICAN FOOD THROUGH ALL YOUR VENTS LOL YOUR APT WILL SMELL LIKE YOUR COOKING IT.
MAINTENANCE IS STILL TERRIBLE, I PUT IN ORDERS 2 MONTHS AGO AND STILL HASN'T BEEN TAKEN CARE OF I JUST GAVE UP. THE TUBS NEED CAULKING OFTEN AND THEY WILL NOT COME FIX IT SO GET USE TO UNCLOGGING YOUR TUB OFTEN.
NEW MANAGERS EVERY OTHER MONTH, I'VE SEEN AT LEAST 4 PROPERTY MANAGERS SINCE IVE LIVED HERE.

Read moreI have lived here at West Oaks Landing for nearly five years after relocating from another State. I have seen the good, bad & ugly here at this property. The Management Team will always change. There has been some terrible Managers at this location. Also, the Maintenance Crew has been terrible over the years. Let's not forget the roaches, cats and dog mess around the property. That's the bad.
Now, let me tell you the good things that goes on at West Oaks Landing Apartments. The office staff now, especially LaShaunda, who has been there the longest really try to take care the residents. I give them a grade of a (C). Victor and his Maintenance Crew could always do a better job, but they do give an effort. Therefore, I give them a grade of a (C-). The resident must take some blame as well. I see with my own eyes people who put trash on the ground instead of in the large trash bins that are provided. Where do you think the roaches are coming from? People who are being nasty and filthy. Just think about how some people must be living nasty within their own apartments. So, I give us residents a grade of a (B-) Sure, we can always blame Management, but we as residents of West Oaks Landing must take some blame.
I just asked the owners to do a better job managing the property. It's not a bad place to live, but if you're not going to invest into making this a better place to live, then it will become a negative environment. Therefore, I give the owners a grade of a (D).
This is what I would like to see done at West Oaks Landing Apartments. Manager and office staff walking the property weekly to see how things are looking. Next, put out a survey to the resident asking for comments good or bad. Make visits to the residents to see how they really are living. Finally, if a resident has been living at the West Oaks Landing Apartments for more then two (2) years, there rent should go down $40 per year. Let's work together to make West Oaks Landing a better place to live and rent.
My last words. West Oaks Landing Apartments are not the best apartments in Houston, Texas. Nevertheless, they are not the worst. I have great neighbors: great surrounding of things to do in the community: great peace of mind and happiness. Sure, it could be worst, and I thank Lord God everyday...
