My husband and I had picked up an information postcard at Steamboat Bill’s in Lake Charles LA. It looked interesting so we decided to visit the emporium this past weekend. I loved it. The sales associate was extremely knowledgeable about the different shops in the warehouse shopping setting. There are quite a few vendors with sale areas rented out. It has a beach theme and beautiful pictures of wide eyed pelicans that hang on the wall and carved pelicans that line the front area as you come in. It is very well organized with many hand crafted items for sale. There is something for everyone!! It is amazing to see all of the beautiful, handmade, homemade, etc., that are on display and for sale. Many paintings of pelicans grace the walls. A courtesy cup of coffee ☕️ available. I have never experienced such comradery, kindness, professionalism and a solid community connection. Mrs Pam is an absolute treasure to visit with, her shop has secured some of the most incredible artists and crafts men and women as vendors in her shop. This is not a typical resale flea market.
