Tractor Supply Co. — Local services in Surf City

Went to Tractor Supply in Hampstead today. Saw several new faces. Went to get meal worms , water dispenser for chickens and a few more items. At the register the gentleman asked me if I was on the neighbors club. I told him yes and also tax exempt and have 2 $10 rewards. The employee at the register was not able to locate my rewards and call a second employee, another gentleman. Both look at the register and the second employee told me that I didn’t have anything in my cart that qualifies for tax exempt, that the state chooses what is tax exempt. I left the store and went to Tractor Supply in Rocky Point to make my purchase and yes the meal worms and the water dispenser were tax exempt. On my way home call Hampstead store and spoke to Lee, the manager on duty. Explain him what happened to me. He apologized but let me with the impression that he wanted to get rid of me and finish the call. I buy at Tractor Supply since the early 2000 in VA. Started going to the store in Rocky Point since the first day that they open. By now I know pretty much what is tax exempt and what it’s not. I know that new employees need time to learn the register but I don’t think that is right to don’t have a knowledgeable person accessible at all times when there is a non experience person at the register. I called to see if items were in inventory, specifically a bladder pressure tank and associated well pump switch, and not only did they pull them aside and put them on a cart by the front door for ease of purchase but they also recommended, after coordinating with the store manager, the correct well pump switch versus the one that I initially intended to buy. I'm from TN,there are TSC stores everywhere so I was very excited to see this one being built! I still love TSC for feed and outdoor items but the selection is not what I was accustomed to in TN. Maybe it's a smaller store? But I know in the spring TSC usually has baby chicks, ducks, and turkeys, I just don't know where they will put them in the small space of the sales floor.
