Good people and helpful but they do not take precautions to prevent endangering the public and potentially spreading COVID-19. I was there two days ago and the young lady serving me did not wear a mask. When I gave ShipOnSite feedback on this they used the excuse that some employees had medical conditions that prevented them from putting on a mask, even when customers entered the store (I have never encountered such cases and I don't believe it).
If some of their staff do not wear mask because of a medical condition then who knows how many people with COVID they have been exposed to wherever they go. They may be asymptomatic. Also the young lady who served me took my credit card which most cashiers no longer do as a precaution. Cashiers should not handle people's credit cards. Also, no mask, then no contact with the public. There are probably other things the mask-less staff can do.
How are people to know that they are not carrying COVID? I am not impressed that ShipOnSite are not following CDC recommendations when so many more people are getting infected now and dying in the 100s of thousands. The nation is now at 300,000 deaths and 16.2 million cases. Pulling together and following expert medical advice is how we will beat this pandemic. On my way to Surf City, I made sure to leave in time to make it there before 5. Unfortunately, Friday traffic made it a little closer than I would like, but I was still there at 4:55. One of the girls was turning off the open light and I said as she was locking the door, I only need a couple of pages printed. She looked to the other lady who quickly said, we have already shut everything down. I go back to my car and check the time on my iPhone, it’s Still only 4:57. I understand these are difficult times, but this is no way to run a business. It is unprofessional to change hours on a whim when people make plans earlier in the day before work. One of the things I loved about this place is that I can get to it after my work day unlike the post office. Lost another customer here.
