I would leave negative stars if possible. This office is terrible, specifically the medical doctors' receptionists. Not the specialty clinics, the general MD clinic portion. I went in for a follow up visit and was unable to be seen. I arrived 9 minutes late according to my phone. The receptionist said that I was 10 minutes late based on the time on her computer. She then explained that since I was late I would not be able to be seen. I said no, I just looked at my phone and it was only 9 after. She continued to argue with me and pulled out some form that stated if you are more than 10 minutes late your appt will have to be rescheduled. I explained to her that I was not 10 minutes late and I had never seen that form nor been informed of it. I asked for her supervisor and a lady named Samantha came out. She obviously had been filled in on the situation prior to coming to speak with me and she said I can only go by what she is telling me and I have to agree with her and go by the time she said you came in. What a freaking joke, who knows what time this lady noticed me. If she looked at her computer just a second later than what my phone said then it could have changed. But I know for a fact I was in that office at 9 after. All cell phones go by universal time, so my phone should be more accurate than her computer. And seriously to argue over a second. I was literally in tears and had my 8 month baby there with me explaining that it took me over an hour to get there and I left an hour early from work and both girls were like oh well... absolutely no sympathy!! I could not believe they were not believing me about the time, just blew my mind. They said the Dr.s time is very important and it puts the rest of the schedule behind, but mind you every time I've been to this office I have to wait at least 15-30 minutes to be seen. So what about my time, is it not important? Also at my very first appointment to establish pt. care with this office, the medical assistant put me in a room and never told anyone. So I waited 45 minutes before someone came in. It was horrible, the Dr. later explained that the particular M.A. that seated me had left for the day and never bothered to tell anyone. I gave this office a second chance but this was the final straw. And why was I never informed of this late policy? These receptionists are beyond rude. If you work in a medical facility, you really should have some compassion, and these people do not. The stress they put me through was wrong on every level. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from...
Read moreI am absolutely disappointed with this Clinic and will be finding a new doctor soon.
Apparently if you don't make an appointment and come into the office within a year, you cannot get your medication. I had no reason to go to the Doctor otherwise I would have done so. But I mean I guess I can understand it for the annual wellness check but you can't even have a Telehealth appointment either so what is the point of those services then?
I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder by my Psychologist and am currently taking BuPropion XL 300mg and Escitalopram 10mg and I am running out of my Burpropion because the Nurse Practitioner that I had to see when my actual Doctor was unavailable gave me the wrong dosage which was 150mg which means I have had to take 2 tablets a day in order for it to be equivalent to 300mg. Which ofcourse will run out rather fast.
I didn't notice it until recently that I started to feel very depressed and anxious and I took a look at my bottle only to realize that the nurse Practitioner prescribed me the wrong dosage! Now this clinic won't even let me refill my medication until April 11 which is well beyond the time that my meds will run out! This isn't a medication that I should be missing dosages on! I can experience withdrawals from it if I do! This is an ANTIDEPRESSANT!
I understand that I have to make an appintment but why couldn't this Clinic give me one more prescription of this medication to cover me before the appointment so I do not run out? Why do I need to go to an Urgent Care for this when you could be doing it??
This Clinic is incredibly negligent in this matter and after I have this appointment on April 11, I will be finding a new provider. This is unacceptable.
Absolutely do not recommend this Clinic at all.
For context, here are the bottles of Burpropion that both my Doctor and the Nurse Practitioner gave me. I blotted out their names and my address ofcourse.
Update: So apparently I cannot refill my BuPropion XL 300mg at Banner Health Urgent Care so I would have not only wasted gas going there but also my time. I called Urgent Care and they straight up said I had to go to the Emergency Room to get it refilled. Not a good look, Banner Health. You are misleading...
Read moreI’m writing this for my wife, she’s the patient. We moved to Sun City West a bit over a year ago. Banner Health is accepted through her insurance is why she initially contacted them looking for a new GP. Twice over the last year she has had occasions to need to see a physician. The wait for appointments is obscene and once there, they prescribe various tests but NEVER follow up with results. You can’t get through to them by phone and they don’t return your calls when you leave messages. Incredibly frustrating! This time, (May 2022). More of the same or worse! My wife really likes the Nurse Practitioner she’s seeing, She told her of the neglect she endured last time and had the woman PROMISE to call with her results and get her on the right meds that day. X-ray, blood and urine, now, days later and many calls, waiting on hold, left messages. Nothing again. I gave it 2 stars only because she likes the practitioner but the office and follow throughs are hopeless. Now it’s Friday night, after 5 again, no chance of contact until Monday if even then? I guess she just suffers and gets worse through the weekend. I wonder how many die from being neglected under their care? This is pneumonia and a bad UTI. Neither conditions you want to put off treatment...
