Auto Solutions — Local services in Surrey Township

Needed a part they put on one with a similar name but wrong one. I explained it to them and showed them on the internet. They said I needed this one anyway and they start with the cheaper one to save money. Yeah, right. How about doing the right one or at least TELLING me so I can decide how much I can afford. It was a cover for their mistake and didnt want to put the other part on because it would cost HIM money. Then the one they did change leaked oil all over my driveway. Another shop fixed the leak because we were in Detroit and said the gasket they used was too small and couldn't believe they didn't see it. Took it back because the original problem wasn't fixed. They kept saying I needed oil changes to clean it out. No apology for the leak and wanted it in writing by the other mechanic and he wanted to talk to him. I kept telling him they put on the wrong part. 5 oil changes and it wasn't working. Asked for a refund and he told me no and he has already "given me 5 free oil changes and he will do one more then he is done." He implied I went back there once a week to get free oil changes because I think the inconvenience is worth it, I guess. I told him he gave me oil changes because putting on the WRONG part didn't work and HE is the one that said they needed to flush my system that I paid for. So 550 dollars and REALLY clean oil later my car STILL isn't fixed and he refused to give me a refund not even for the leak the other shop fixed. I'm sure he fixes cars but if you get a tough one you're just out of luck. He was rude and not willing to make it right. Do NOT go there. A lot more bad stuff happened but that's the gist of it. This is now my fourth time using Auto Solutions for repairs! Once again, Kersten (service advisor/writer) came through for me! She made sure I was able to get in quickly and had everything mapped out. Also, Dillon was the mechanic/technician that performed the repairs this time as well! This mechanic/technician is exceptional at what he does and is extremely thorough! Everyone at Auto Solutions is aways friendly and accommodating as well! This is my third time having the crew at Auto Solutions work on my truck! They did extensive body work in 2017 (exceptional experience), alternator and battery replacement (2018), and alternator replacement (2023). I also have utilized their towing service (both Farwell location and Mount Pleasant) and have always had extremely positive experiences. I cannot say enough about the level of professionalism, knowledge, friendliness, and overall positivity of every employee here! Joe is a great guy and man of his word! Today (January 25, 2023) Dillon was the technician that worked on my truck and Kirsten was the service advisor that made sure I was able to squeeze in ASAP. Kirsten also went above and beyond to figure out that I had warranty coverage on the part I needed replaced (saved me a lot of money and time). Dillon, Kirsten, and Trevor made this experience much better than I expected! They were each upbeat, professional, friendly, and extremely personable! I don’t normally post reviews but in this case I must. I was towing my 17’ camper with my perfect condition Hyundai Santa Fe near Harrison Michigan I got stuck, well not stuck “Buried”is more like it on a 2 track about a half mile back in the woods where I should not have been. It was on a very narrow bend 4” from a stump that was sticking out in 3’ deep sand up hill. Auto Solutions came out promptly with the most state of the art Piece of towing equipment I have ever seen. I was in an almost impossible position “so I thought”. But Auto solutions looked at it smiled and said no worries I will get you out. Remember I was towing a trailer. Well after vigorous effort he also got buried. His main concern was in not damaging my vehicle or camper. He had to call in another state of the art truck that also looked show room new. After a total of 4hrs “most of which was in the dark” and very skilled professional effort. they were able to get me out, without so much as a scratch. They were diligent hard working and always Had a smile. I only remember one of there names Andy. They were both 5 star plus in my book. Thank you Auto Solutions!!!!
