My husband and I saw the billboards advertising the establishment. We love cheese and thought we'd stop on the way to KC. We enjoyed the little store, friendly atmosphere, and variety of foodstuffs. But now, one month later, I'm worried. I used my debit card to pay for my items (March 2015) and now, April, I saw my charges repeated. Frankly, technology is great. We plan to call them and ask how and why they saw fit to charge us twice. I have bank statements proving they already have the money, first go round. So, my advice to you if you stop at this store. Pay cash. I don't want to paste labels yet until they have a chance to explain, but $49.94 is $49.94. I earned my money. I didn't steal it, but they sure did from us with the second charge. They are in Missouri. We live in Mississippi. And both at work the time the charges went through. Be careful where you use your debit/credit cards. Use CASH instead. Update: They have given my husband an explanation that seems possible, not probable. And they have promised to refund the money, but we have yet to see the refund in our account. If they follow through and keep their word, then I will change the rating I gave. The verdict is still pending on their honesty. Update: After numerous phone calls on both sides, our money was refunded on May 8th. It was taken on April 13th. I give them 3 stars for doing the...
Read moreWe LOVE cheese so on our way home to Texas we decided to stop at this place and boy are we glad we did! It is located about a mile or so down from the exit and it felt like we might have turned a wrong way then it suddenly appeared.
The two ladies that were there were so helpful and pleasant it made the experience even more enjoyable. There was a sample area with a large variety of items set up in individual containers and they explain what they all are and provide a contact free way to try as much as you want.
Besides a wide variety of cheese blocks and cheese curds (our favorite - the garlic and dill are the BOMB!), they also have brats, sausages, bacon, dips, candy, honey, area wines, and other homeopathic type items as well as a deli where you can get meat by the pound and fresh made sandwiches. My son and I each got a sandwich while was MUCH more enjoyable than some fried food!
We ate one of the bags of cheese curds during the drive! We definitely plan on going back since this place is on our drive between Texas and Quincy University where my son starts this fall. Or I will just order...
Read moreWas made aware of this place by a YouTuber Pole Barn Garage. Saw the signs for it while traveling down I-70 and knew we had to stop. Plenty of samples to try the different types of cheeses. Huge selection of flavor cheeses. They also have beef jerkies and sausages, beef venison and buffalo. Also have a lot of canned goods and candies. Although we arrived 15 minutes before closing, the ladies working were very pleasant and let us take our time and answered all our questions. Even though they are currently 2 hours from our new house. It's definitely worth taking a Saturday drive to...
