Dollar General — Local services in Tazewell

If I could rate lower I would. I’m a dsp, I assist people with mental and intellectual disabilities, the reason why that’s important is bc the only times I’ve had poor experiences in this specific store IS WHEN IM WORKING AND ASSISTING PEOPLE IN THE STORE. I chose not to write a poor review the first time when a worker was rude toned to my client and told them very loudly almost a yell “NO WE DONT HAVE PUBLIC BATHROOMS” the person visually was needing to go. I had forsure peed there the week before when I wasn’t working. Before my client and I could walk away completely we heard a female coworker asked him why he said that and if the toilet was messed up and he said “bc I’m tired of cleaning up strangers messes”. I figured dude was having a bad day, whatever, a bit ill to a handicapped individual but maybe he didn’t know. I’m pretty sure it’s against the law in some states to refuse the bathroom to a legally disabled person but I could be mistaken. Well tonight was just lazy as hell but forsure solidified the crap show going on out there. All the isles were blocked off by stuff and boxes, except the food and last two selfcare items isle. I was assisting a person in a wheelchair and these isles were barely accessible to people over 250lbs much less a wheelchair! So I tried to even move some of the products and boxes blocking the isles and a worker watched and also stood there then proceeded to go to another isle to stock it. We left the store. Clean it up, tell your workers to quit being jerks bc you never know if the person you’re being a jerk to can even comprehend your tone and nature. Make the place accessible to all, people in wheelchairs like the seasonal...

This is the best Dollar General in the town. I know we have several in the area but I drive OUT of my way to go to this location because they always have the shelves stocked and are the nicest friendliest people around.
