Made a phone call just to ask if I could get a value on my mother’s old engagement ring that she had given me to sell to purchase a new engagement ring for my fiancée. The guy who answered was very abrasive and rude to me stating “ his attorney advised him to get paperwork unless he wanted to hang his shingle but he could just give an opinion.” And when I tried to tell him what I thought the specs were on it, stating “this conversation means absolutely nothing to me, absolutely nothing at all unless I see it.” In a very harsh tone. I had planned on taking it immediately to his shop and possibly giving him my business on the new ring but not now after his poor attitude.
