I’ve waited awhile hoping the situation at this post office would work itself out towards a positive outcome but every single time I have to go and pick up a package/parcel order bc “couldn’t be delivered” or “delivery attempted” but attempts weren’t made bc they don’t travel to your residents, they either delivery to the community mailbox designated areas or you have to travel all the way to post office to pick up. Which wouldn’t be so bad if: they didn’t randomly close sometimes due to “power outage” but all the lights are working and computers on. Or delivering mail to you that isn’t addressed to you, delivering packages to wrong address. I even filed a complaint because I had several packages just destroyed or open/torn/tattered/shredded after I had stopped to ask a postal employee I saw delivering mail “what’s the policy here, I’m new to the area I’m trying to learn the lay of the land. Do you have any packages for me?” Bc I was expecting something for work and the person smiled, said no. I drove home and no sooner do I get to my door, my Alexa notifies me that delivery attempt was made but that I had to go all the way back down to my mailbox to look at the slip she left for it to not have anything written on it at all. I drove all the way to the post office the next day, showed the person at the window and she looked at me and said “uhhh this is blank” I said yes it is, that’s how the postal worker left it in my box. I don’t know what’s up with this post office but as a disabled person my life is difficult enough as is navigating an inaccessible world, this post office makes it harder for even abeled body people to get clear answers and direction/guidance/assistance. I’ve had these issues since Dec 2022 to now June 2023 without resolve.
If you ever need packages delivered to you, I suggest you tell everyone to use only fedex or UPS cuz that’s the ONLY way you’re actually seeing your packages & getting them delivered to you with the best care, courtesy and consideration. With the fedex and UPS drivers you’re a human being, at the post office you’re treated less...
Read moreI am a disabled senior who lives alone. I broke my only walker and ordered a replacement from Amazon. I not sure why Amazon chose usps for the delivery of a 28 lb package but they did. I spoke with Amazon and the postal service and they guaranteed me it would be delivered to my door. I received a call from Tammy at the Tehachapi office where she said it would not be delivered because my home was more than half a mile from my box and the carrier refused to do it because of her contract. She said i could only pick it up at the office which i cannot due do to my disability. She suggested that I inconvience some one else to go pick it up . It's terrible how poor this post office treats their disabled customers. I'm having them just ship the walker back to Amazon. I hope this lazy carrier learns how to take care in the future of a handicapped customers order. I hope she never becomes handicapped herself and has to experience the poor service she gives. One thing is for sure, I will never allow anything I purchase to go through the post office again. Hopefully they soon will be obsolete. Very very poor customer service. Exceptions can always be made. Even the post master could make the effort to deliver it but it's obviously not important to him either. Shame on this post office. It's certainly changed for the worse in the...
Read moreI am a disabled senior citizen and struggle using my walker. I entered the post office at 430. There was ten people ahead me I was finalizing the paperwork for a P.O. Box. The line moved slow as usual, nobody offers a chair. By the time I got to the counter I could barely stand. I asked the clerk if I could go sit on the bench and she could bring me the final paperwork, box number and key. She agreed. By the time she came over to me it was 5pm. She gave me everything I needed and said I needed to fill out a change of address card. I asked her for a pen so I could fill it , a 20 second task, and she said "oh no, we are closed now, you need to come back tomorrow. " I said seriously, you 'd make a handicapped person comeback for a 20 second task?" She said yes, and frantically ran off closing doors etc... Probably the worst customer service I've seen in a while. I've grown not expect special treatment because I'm handicapped, that's just the way the world is these days, but really, 20 seconds to fill out 5 lines on a...
