We spent the last two hours at Queen City Piercings, and I am LIVID. My daughter is THREE. The girl working the front was so sweet to her, helping her pick out earrings, getting our paperwork filled out, and checking us out. They originally said 30-45 minutes then updated that it would be around an hour. It was more than that, so my daughter was getting tired (evening walk-in), but we were determined to make it work. Sheâs VERY shy and nervous in new places/around new people. When it was finally our turn, we went back, and my daughter said she wanted to sit on my lap. The piercer was very loud and rather rude saying if she wants her ears pierced, she needs to sit up alone on the table (which I thought was odd because Iâve seen plenty of piercing/tattoo shops allowing a parent to sit with the child as long as it didnât interfere with what they were trying to do). I asked for a minute to speak with her, and he continued telling her several times in a very loud voice and rude tone that if she wanted her ears pierced, she needed to sit there alone or he was sending her back home and she couldnât get them pierced. Because he wouldnât stop, I stepped out of the room with her to talk to her, but by then it was a lost cause. She was crying, clinging to my neck, and saying she didnât want to do it today. Obviously today was not the day. He apparently couldnât leave well enough alone, because as Iâm holding her just trying to calm her down to figure out a plan, he came out and said, she wonât sit still and clearly doesnât want it done, so heâs refusing to pierce her tonight. Keep in mind, this whole thing went down in less than 3 minutes. Anyone else with a three year old feel like they can take them into a new environment, with new people (with one basically yelling at her that she has to do something new and scary alone), and calm them down completely in less than 3 minutes? Anyone? No? Didnât think so. I am shaking with frustration about how rude he was to my three year old and myself. If theyâre going to say they pierce children 3 and up, they need to have a better understanding of how to communicate with children. Like I said, the girl we worked with was so sweet, even asking my daughter her favorite color and giving her a squishy bunny in that color, but her hands were tied with the lead piercer being a complete jerk. Frustrating to have spent $170 (including a tip, clearly for nothing) for him to not have the patience to wait more than 3 minutes for a TODDLER to adjust to the environment/situation. Weâre planning to return to get her ears pierced another day (sheâs been asking for them for weeks) but will absolutely NOT be working with the guy who was piercing tonight. Cannot understand how he felt it was acceptable to talk to any customer, let alone a toddler, in the way that he did. I will say that the place, other than the one employee, seemed very professional and clean. Will gladly update my review if things work out better the next time, but as of now, I wouldnât recommend taking little ones to have their ears pierced here.
Update #1: a sweet girl named Miranda reached out and apologized and said the situation with that piercer is being handled. She also offered us a private time to get Mattieâs ears pierced with her and another girl, where she wonât be rushed and where sheâs able to sit on my lap and be treated like a toddler...
Read moreI had recently went in a few months ago to get a helix piercing and filled out the online paperwork for it but I was pregnant at the time so I was unfortunately couldnât get it which I understand that so they told me they could hold my jewelry until after I had my baby and they wrote my name on a sticky note and took it to the back with my jewelry my brother in law at the time had paid for both me and my sisters piercings before I knew I couldnât actually get pierced so all I would have to do is come in since the jewelry and the piercing were all already paid for, the problem was when I went back after having my baby they seemed to not have record of me or my sisters paperwork that we had both filled out then they proceeded to ask me if my brother in law had filled out paperwork and he had not since he wasnât the one getting pierced, they then ask me if I had a receipt but I had already told them I was not the person who had paid for the piercing so how would I have the receipt?? They then turned me away without sticking to their word about my piercing even though they knew the exact date it had been paid for and when we came in to get the piercings and also basically ROBBED SOMEONE OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY, just because they couldnât be organized and if you arenât organized you should at least stick...
Read moreWe took our daughter there today to get an ear piercing. First off we we there before everyone else, they made us wait 2 1/2 hours just for a piercing. When everyone else was walking in and walking out at a quick rate. But we still were left there waiting. We spoke our concern, they replied "we will get back with you soon", but continued to take other customers. My son which is 3 years old was in there with us, he started to fuss and scream, he has autism. So he streams and shouts when he doesn't get what he wants, or is upset. Which he gets upset easily. I had a girl with pink her walk up and tell me we need to use our inside voices. I clearly explained I am trying my absolute best to calm my child down. All while trying to calm him down. She said we'll if you don't calm him down he will be kicked out of our establishment. I explained to her he has autism, he cannot help it. Than she walked away. I took him out to the vehicle the remainder of the time there. My fiancé was treated very badly by the staff due to the incident we had 15 minutes prior. I would not recommend coming to this establishment if you have children with disabilities with you. The staff were very disrespectful towards us. I could not believe somone told us our child will be kicked out due to...
