Fairway Finer Foods — Local services in Thornton Township

Would not have given this Fairway location even 1 star but had to in order to post review. This location is AWFUL, awful customer service, awful rude staff, prejudice, often has fowl odor and will grant extra privileges to "their regulars" SOMETIMES (depends on who's in the store at the time I assume). They don't consider the "community" OR customers that treat them kindly. Their items are often OVER PRICED or out dated or they simply don't have what you need. You never see any of the staff smile. So unfortunate that the community is FORCED into shopping at such a poor grocery establishment due to the fact that there are NO other full line grocery stores available in the area. The overall energy of this location is NONE, it's not lively or bright like other major grocery chains. I'm going to find a way AROUND shopping at this Fairway. By no means does it live up to its name.

I believe in honest reviews based on actual experiences, avoid giving your time or money to this...

I was in Fairway yesterday, about 6:15pm, and the girl at the register was very nice. She actually saved me some money. I had a box of Cheerios that I didn't realize was over $6.00. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THE CEREAL WAS SO HIGH. This particular girl told me about the price of the cereal and she was kind enough to put my groceries in my cart. ( I definitely agree with another person's review that this store is not for major shopping; I simply go here for quick stuff for my mom who is elderly) The store definitely needs a make over of some sort but I'm sure that will never happen because of the complexion of the neighborhood which is sad........I'm sure you...

I went here yesterday to get salsa on sale for $1.50 & eggs on sale for $0.98. I normally get my canned string beans from here because they're on sale a lot at this location. In the past, I would get turkey meat from here faithfully... However, the last time that I had it and unthawed it to eat, it didn't last a day in the refrigerator before it spoiled... It didn't look spoiled but it smelled and tasted spoiled... This has never happened to me with this particular turkey meat at this location. I figured they changed their meat without letting their consumers know about it. So, I no longer get turkey meat from...
