Chicago Pit Stop BBQ — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I always have a great experience when I come to this place and today was no exception🤘🏾 Ordered a large tip with mixed sauce Turkey tip/ link combo with mixed sauce and the catfish steaks. I placed myorder online about 11:30 I chose the 12:30 pick up time. I arrived at the restaurant about 5 minutes prior to pickup time so I didn’t mind the few minutes I had to wait. The cashier was friendly which sometimes is not the case so I appreciated that I got home opened the food and per usual it was spot on!! Tips were tender and a generous portion as well. The fish was the biggest delight it was still crispy when I arrived home which is about a 15 minute drive. The order came with 4pcs. Which one was a small piece of the tail so I wasn’t happy about that, but not a biggie. Now these hush puppies they sell I’m not sure if there made in house or frozen but they are Goooooood some of the best I’ve had so if your in the area or just looking for a great bite don’t hesitate bc u won’t be disappointed I do highly recommend online ordering to avoid long wait times. Your payment basically guarantee your timely pickup u can call ahead but they do not prepare orders unless...

this place is just sucky I called in my $30 order okay so the girl says 30 min to pick up alright so I gave them an extra 10 min cause I know they be busy anyways I get there it wasn't busy at all there was 3 customers in the lobby I wait in line for about 10 min and just to mention it was only one customer she was taking care of that was infront of me so I get to my turn to tell her my name for my order that I called in she looks around and acts dumb like nobody called in so she says wait 1 second she goes to the back and comes back after 2 min and starts asking me what you order so I tell her while she is ringing me up I ask her is it ready she looks at the register and says yes so me im a tru hustler knew what time it was she was going to take my money and have me wait for who knows how long st8 dummy I swear I looked at her and said wait one second I have to call my boss to see if he wants something else so I went outside went in my car and took off very very very very bad they truly suck and im a person who eats in downtown all the time I just wanted some turkey tips...

While the food is GREAT!! The customer service and lack of staff makes me walk out. Whether you try to call ahead (either no one answers...or they advise you will still have to wait for your food to be dropped when you arrive), when you arrive even if you place an order online (there is only one person working the counter and she has to go get the order, take orders, and pass them out...so you are still waiting), etc. I literally watched 4 people walk out because we stood in line (from my arrival time) for over 20 mins and she had not even taken the first person order. I left after waiting 30 minutes and my order wasn't taken. Think about how much money is walking out the door because this place refuses to hire 2 more people at $15/hour! My order alone was going to be $50 plus. They need better business practices like tracking their busy days/shift times and have people in place so that people want to come and support. Also, taking credit card payments over the phone would probably help keep business here so that you can make the orders like all...
