Pretty cool hike with a neat rock formation at the end, as well as some cool geology along the way. The hike is definitely rocky on the steep parts but by no means for the entire time. I would definitely suggest a good pair of hiking boots or shoes and not just trying to do it in regular walking shoes. Everything is well marked and well maintained and generally a good experience. Has the signs will tell you, do be on the lookout for rattlesnakes at Wolf Rock. We went on a warm July afternoon so most of them are hiding under the rocks, but we did see this one guy hanging out right where everyone walked. He didn't care about any of us walking within a couple of feet however definitely watch your kids and where you stick your hands climbing over the rocks. Be careful as there are deep crevices. But it is beautiful up there. It's so worth the climb. Take time to relax there before proceeding.
