I walked into the shop a few minutes ago to trade two 10oz silver coins for 20 1oz American Silver Eagles. Knowing there is a difference between Canadian and American, I expected to receive about $31 per ounce. That would have been $620. Chris, the owner, immediately tried to tell me he could trade but his price would be $38 per ounce for the Silver Eagles. I said I wasn’t going to pay APMEX pricing. He became agitated when I tried to tell him what i would be willing to pay, but his demeanor was almost like a parent scolding a child. He asked where I buy my coins; from coin shops, coin shows and individuals. He peppered me with questions and would let me answer. Then I remembered the last two rolls I bought were from his wife. Glorified gold and silver hock shop. The woman Mindy is fair and polite but unfortunately her counterpart/co-owner/husband perhaps? Is the opposite. In the few times I've been there, without exception I watched in disbelief as this man attempted to scam customers out of gold and silver jewelry and once coins as well. Offering them about half of what any pawn shop would give in simple bullion value to trusting clientele. Fortunately, most saw through his cutthroat attempts and refused his frankly insulting offers.. but not all. If you have anything of numismatic or collectable value this would be the Last place you want to go. It's no different than any pawn shop for buying gold and silver as their tacky roadside banners advertising claims... I am so happy to have found this place! As a newbie some places kind of just laughed me off but once I stepped foot in these doors it was just great. The owner answered all my questions and I got a nice little starter pack, (I call it) then I found out they also have great deals all the time on their fb page and it has not let me down!
