Had a pretty poor experience at this location the last couple of times we were in. Once I bought a few items, and was attempting to purchase 2 12-ct rolls of toilet paper. One for my husband and myself and one for my roommate so he wouldn't have to go to the store just to purchase toilet paper. The cashier yelled across several lanes to confirm with another employee if customers are only allowed to purchase one package, then informed me that I couldn't buy both, even though I explained the situation. Of course, I understand stores have policies, so I told him I would just buy the one my husband and I needed for ourselves. I also informed the cashier that there were no signs posted stating that policy, and to avoid similar comments, the store should consider adding some. Upon returning to the store at another time, I noticed the signs were then posted. Although, it seems like a silly policy since stires are not running out of toilet paper now and buying more than one package is normal as long as someone isn't buying an excessive amount...
Today, my husband and I were in again and saw a smoker, which appeared to be for sale, since there were stickers on it with information and the brand, etc. However there was no price on it, so my husband asked two associates who were walking by what the price was. The man advised that it was meant for display and explained how it was used for various displays, which was an acceptable response, but the woman (didn't catch her name) laughed at my husband as she walked away. We found that to be very rude as customers should be treated respectfully, especially when inquiring about the price of an item that did not have any signage indicating that it was for display only. We also observed the bagger walking away while we were being checked out. Even if he was due for a break, having worked in retail for several years, he could have waited until he was finished assisting the cashier. The only saving grace was how kind the cashier was. (Didn't catch his name either, but he was younger, tall). Pretty dispappointed in our regular grocery...
Read moreI usually do not put bad reviews on here, my momma taught me the whole nothing nice to say, don't say anything, but there are those rare moments you just feel so overwhelmed by the situation that you just have to speak your mind. My mom spends approximately upwards of 4-5 hundred dollars a week at this place, and I accompany most of the times. She raises my 10 year old nephew, growing boy, and all, but the thing is he goes to school year round because he has autism, and it's very difficult to shop with him, so in between his school hours are just the better times to go. Well you go there in the a.m. and feel like you are an annoyance to a certain few of the employees. There is never a cashier on, so it's self checkout, we'll with 200$ of groceries no fun 1, and 2 a 75 year old woman trying to toggle those touchy systems is no good, and 3 getting treated like a nuisance when help is needed, then get argued with about something not being rung up because she couldn't dacern that B.B. stood for Blue Bunny, as in the ice cream. Yes it absolutely was rung up! Then if you go to customer service you once again get treated like a nuisance instead of a paying customer! I have worked many years in customer service, and all I have to say is "this is not it"! Sorry for my rant, but I guess the moral of the story is, hire more cashiers, get rid of self checkout if you are worried about thievery, and last but not least...we ALL get old, and slower, learn some patience! Also look back in my reviews, and you will see the very rarely negative...
Read moreMy wife and I were at the dairy plaza, where this Winn-Dixie is located. We were a few outlets away, at the laundromat. Since it was after 5:00 the laundromat clerk was off-shift and the bathrooms were closed, and the only thing accessible were the washers and dryers. My wife needed to use the restroom, so I suggested she go into the Winn-Dixie, (this location). I waited for her outside as she proceeded towards the building. She stated after using the restroom, she then headed towards the exit doors. Then she stated, that an older white female in her late 60s, told another employee, "I Hope she found what she was looking for." My wife stated she looked at the woman behind her and the other employee, along with the older woman, or then both watching her like a hawk. My wife then proceeded to say, "yep I sure did." My wife came out of the winn-dixie, and I could tell in her face that something was wrong. She would not tell me what was wrong until later that night. I couldn't believe it. She stated that she would never go back in this establishment considering they racially profiled her and to top it off my wife is a medical assistant she deals with patience and all different types of personalities on a day to day basis, I hope this review changes the employees attitudes in management will most definitely do...
