Be careful, Customer satisfaction is not the priority. You more than likely not going be able to return purchased items. Expect a unfriendly or unpleasant experience if they are any complications with your purchase or shopping experience. in my personal experience everything is as moderately pleasant until i purchased something. after the tools i purchased didn’t accomplish the job i described that i needed to complete and i return to the store I was greeted with a unpleasant and not welcoming energy I just wanted to explore the possibility of returning a few items, I had no issue keeping the tools if that wasn’t a option. It was almost as if someone assumed I was running some sort of scheme or had ill-intent which was pretty disheartening. They were aware I only came into their store due to an emergency, was inexperienced, not from there and needed to resolve my issue in a timely manner. take what you can from my experience...
Read moreIf I could give them a 0, I would. I walked in an absolutely empty store with a friend on Sunday morning to buy a few things and I asked where I could find them. The guy didnt move from the counter. Just waved with his hand -- "overthere". We couldnt find what we wanted so I yelled across the aisles that I need help. Instead of walking up to me, the guy yelled back - "With what?" I had to come over to him and show on a phone what i was looking for. Short snap: "We don't carry those." No apology, no sorry, no suggestions where I could get that. I get it. I am a woman and women are not supposed to be in a hardware store. Iys none of womens business. They are supposed to sit home and cook. I felt that i was thrown 200 years back. So I drove to Ace and had a wonderful experience there. Back to the 21st century, when women are allowed to shop for buy door locks and door stops. This "local" business does not deserve to...
Read moreSeconding the other person’s concern: this store seems to be using its business as a political statement at the expense of customer service and safety. They are choosing not to wear masks, which encourages many customers to not wear masks. And employees are not social distancing with the customers, walking right up to them to have a conversation without a mask. At least they put a notice on the front door, so you have a choice to shop elsewhere. I am sure there are plenty of people who either don’t care or prefer this store because of such a stance. To me, all it takes is a bandana at the least and its free to social distance. This area has a lot of older people and was/is a higher risk area than most of the country given its connection to the NYC metro region. It is now an example of how politics has distorted facts where your local hardware store thinks it exists in another universe—immune...
