Business owners beware! We tried to bring our aircraft maintenance facility into Forbes field and million air bullied us away! They spread lies and misinformation about us to other airport officials. They lease almost all of the buildings from the city and Jack up the rent to sublease. We agreed on numbers and insurance requirements and before we were able to sign the lease they changed the insurance requirements to impossible standards. When I asked why, they replied with that are no longer interested in leading to me. I asked for an explanation and was ignored. I’m a 20+ year community member of the local area and a member of the 190th ARW. I am saddened that the city has let such an awful business control our airport. This is a prime example of corporate bullying of small businesses. We spoke with some of their past tenants and this is not a unique situation. Past tenants told us they quadrupled rent to get them to leave. They also don’t take care of the hangers. Hanger 609 is falling apart due to their neglect. A water line burst and instead of fixing it they just turned off the water. It’s covered in black mold and the ceiling is falling in. The GM told us they made an insurance claim but used the money elsewhere. They still tried to charge us almost 4,000$ a month and told us they wouldn’t repair the damage and that would be our responsibility. Do not store your aircraft with them! I’m sure this irresponsibility is common for them. All we were trying to do is bring a valuable business to an airport in my local community but Millionair (Freeman holdings group) decided to act extremely unprofessional and untruthful. I even called and left 2 voicemails to their CEO in Kansas City and was ignored and threatened by their legal department. The lack of communication, professionalism, and integrity sickens me. I own a mobile aircraft maintenance facility in Topeka and will be letting our hundreds of local customers, family members, friends, and aviation enthusiasts not to do business with Millionair. I have never been so disappointed and disgusted with a company in my life. I hope this is a huge eye opener to the city of Topeka that we don’t want big bullying corporations at our airport, we want our local small businesses that we can trust and...
Read moreI flew from Omaha to stop and get gas between there and Vance AFB. We were greeted by the most professional man - Robert Deever. He was so kind and was really excited to have us there. We had an awesome lunch that was definitely needed after flying. He handled everything expeditiously and it was really nice having such a quiet experience. On top of that, he had the best form for marshaling signals that I've ever seen. I would definitely recommend Million Air to anyone, especially if...
