Woods Ace Hardware — Local services in Torrance

I found what I was looking for and it was not a bad price. However, I found a lot of the other items in the store to be very overpriced , and the woman at the register was very rude to me when I decided I didn't want one of the items I brought up to the front because I felt it was too expensive. When a person works in customer service, they need to keep their personal opinions to themselves and speak ONLY on behalf of the company they represent and it's policies. What happened to being polite and courteous? Are we that far out there that we can't even treat a stranger the way that we would want to be treated? If this company would kindly pull this particular cashier away from the register permanently, and stick her in the back room away from any kind of customer interaction, I would gladly return and change my rating to 5 stars. This neighborhood hardware store has almost everything you could ever need and the staff is amazing and the prices are totally reasonable. Tons of easy parking feet from the door.. saves you time and gas. They have everything from keys, paint, hardware, cleaning products, household items, garden center, tools, bbqs, even some lumber and all sorts of cool stuff. I love the 'as seen on TV" they used to have all these cool items.. and they have novelties and gifts and pocket knives, multitools, propane.. I have probably been here a hundred times over the years and you always find a few things you needed but didn't even know you needed. The staff is super helpful and friendly.. there is always someone there to help you. This store is a neighborhood treasure.. I am a very satisfied long time customer and I appreciate this place. If your key doesn't work they will make you a new one.. if there is an issue they take care of you. Old school customer service is alive and well at Woods...

How inconvenient these people in the store are wasting my time. Last. Saturday I went in the store and paid cash for a Toyota key to be recut. It was a $109. I got the receipt and I was told that it can't be cut that day. Because the person who does the keys. Isn't there until during the week till 3 o'clock PM? So I told the girl specifically. This is for my son's car. He has the same name as I do. He has I do like I do. He took the receipt in there. And they refused to do anything for him. And he left the store upset because he didn't get his key. He needs an additional key. Now I have to travel a 120 miles from Thousand Oaks where I live down there to rectify the situation. I'm just asking for a refund and tell them their imbeciles that is ridiculous. How come they didn't call me? They had my phone number ridiculous wastes of my time.
