I'm going to start off my saying I go to a LOT of light displays. Shiny blinky season is my thing.
The lights themselves are pretty good. I think the city does swoopy lights on the trees by the sidewalk, and the residents all participate. There's a high ratio of Jesus' birthday, for people who look for that style.
The fact that people can drive the route is not to my liking. It detracts from the lights for pedestrians and makes it feel all the more crowded. It also raises the noise level.
Having said that, it's good to have neighborhood lights that are accessible to non-ambulatory persons, so I'm not against the style. It was a little overwhelming for me is all.
The crowds and inconsistent sidewalks are really what cost them stars. There are a lot of places where there's no sidewalk at all, and it's dangerous to walk in the street because of the cars. The interactive houses/displays were mobbed AND hard to go around because of traffic. And there were a lot of kids who were tearing through the crowd and generally being holy terrors.

I love the cozyness of the place and the welcoming residents of this place. It's a small area but beautifully decorated. This year it seemed to be a little less may be because of budget. Find a parking spot and walk through the streets with family and/or friends. I literally it during the pandemic years. But it's back and it's lively again with people enjoying to the fullest. Highly recommend if you want to enjoy free...
Read moreFor the first time in a few years, I made it out to Candy Cane Lane. I parked at a friend’s house nearby and walked. While it was crowded, it was great to see kids and families out, and community young and old (us, lol) enjoying the lights and sounds of the holidays. Thank you to the neighbors with beautiful displays who always welcome others to partake in local festivities.
