Reid Castle Events — Local services in Town/Village of Harrison

DO NOT BOOK A WEDDING WITH THEM!

Let me preface this by saying I attended Manhattanville, so I know that the castle can be reserved for weddings and who to contact.

They have someone relatively new who is working the wedding side of reserving the castle. Her name is Shaun, and I reached out to her in the beginning of October to see if I could plan a wedding for next spring. At first, things seemed okay; I got a response a few days later and she seemed attentive. When my fiancé and I found a date we liked, we got another email from her saying which dates were available. I emailed back to give her our choice of date, but I never heard back. I sent more emails, making sure she got my original message, but nothing. My fiancé was starting to get stressed because time was running out to send invites to her family. I even called several times hoping I could talk to someone to see what was going on. The only time I spoke to somebody was to a woman named Jazz who informed me that Shaun wasn't available, but she'd relay the message to me ASAP. Since then, I haven't heard a thing, despite calling back another few times.

In short, these folks are going to ghost you, if that's what they did to me, a Manhattanville alum, who knows what way they'll...

What can I say, Elena is my girl. This venue is breathtaking and completely knocked us off our feet from the moment we took the tour. It was also one of the best value venues we looked at, with a much more relaxed approach (many of the other venues felt like they were nickel and diming on every single little thing and that was just not the case here). The base price included rooms, food and drink to get ready in the morning, the chapel, cocktail hour, the reception hall, cake, and an afterparty (with full bar), with a reasonable venue fee but no minimums. The food was incredible - several guests said this was the first time they had finished their plate at a wedding- and the cake from DiMare bakery also had our guests raving. The best part, though, was the coordinator Elena, who was SUCH a dream to work with. Very practical, responsive, helpful and kind. I wish I could give this place more stars! I had my wedding and attended 2 other weddings at the Reid Castle. The staff is truly spectacular and will make your event unforgettable. The food is top notch and the service is on par with the food.

If you have an event here you can count on the staff to save your life... literally. During the wedding an older gentleman suffered a massive heart attack. Within seconds one of the staff members sprung to action. She immediately started administering cpr and directing people. They brought out an AED device and managed to get a heart beat back literally saving the man's life. I wish I got her name. Whoever you are if you're reading this I told you at the wedding but ill say it again... you are a hero! Thank you for being amazing.
