We had a great time at La Casa. It may be a little off the beaten path as it’s not in a super high traffic area, but it’s really a great find. We will absolutely be coming back here. Apparently once a month they do a steak night where it’s a prix fixe menu with steak and comes with drinks and apps and sides. When we came it was steak night, but since it was our first time here, we decided to do more traditional fare. We will definitely be coming back for the steak night next time around.

The inside has a great vibe. It’s beautiful, but comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. They left us to enjoy our meal, but checked in often enough that we didn’t feel ignored.

We started with the guac and salsa trio. It all felt very fresh. The chips were clearly made in house and were perfectly seasoned and crispy. The salsa were a traditional salsa, a salsa verde, and then this kind of chili oil and nut concoction that was both unusual and delightful. It had great depth of flavor and it paired really well with the guac (I put a dollop on top when the chips with guac and it brought out the flavors really well).

We shared the steak quesadilla as an appetizer and it was the best part of the meal (which is saying a lot). The Oaxaca cheese had the perfect cheese pull, the steak had great flavor and overall it was bright and fresh.

We also got the camarones a la diabla (shrimp in red sauce over beans) and enchiladas verde. It was all simple food that was elevated, done brightly, with a good depth of flavor. I would say the two entrees were hearty and almost rustic because of the simplicity of it. We left very happy and full.

Overall, the food was clean, filling, and delicious. The service was very nice, and the ambiance is great. Definitely a place that we will come back to repeatedly. (I took pics, but we had already dug in to our starters before I thought...

Plenty of parking when we arrived and it wasn’t too busy, which was nice. The restaurant itself is beautiful, very aesthetic and inviting. My only small critique is that the tables are a bit close together, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.

The staff was attentive for most of the evening. We started with margaritas , they were good, but nothing to rave about. I have to say I’m very critical about my margaritas! The real standout for drinks was the sangria (both red and white), which we enjoyed more than the margaritas.

For appetizers, we had the potatoes with chorizo, absolutely delicious, easily one of the best appetizers I’ve had in Westchester, and the guacamole, which came with warm, fresh tortilla chips. Perfect start to the meal.

For my entrée, I had the red snapper special with rice. The fish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My partner had the carne asada, and the chimichurri sauce was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The beans and rice were fresh and clearly made that day.

We ended the night with churros and chocolate sauce, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and made in-house. A perfect ending.

We will definitely be...

La Casa in Purchase is such a lovely addition to our area! I recently planned a last-minute birthday party for my 14-year-old, and the team went above and beyond to make it special. The service was impeccable—everyone was so friendly and accommodating, and they made everything easy with their flexible approach. I had a flurry of follow-ups via phone and email with Lenny and Spencer, and they provided value input to my vegetarian menu. It was really special that having a full vegetarian menu was no big deal - so many options for us! I really appreciated the cake service in addition to the restaurant’s dessert. They even called me when they didn't see me to wait to sing Happy Birthday - wow!!! What stood out most was how the staff treated the kids—not just as kids, but as valued guests. It was so nice to give the girls an experience that felt a little more grown-up as they’re coming into adulthood. Everyone had a wonderful time, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for any occasion, big or small. They have a few different spaces that work for all different events whether it's work, fun,...

Based on the reviews, I was excited to try this restaurant with my husband. Our server was attentive and pleasant. We decided to order 3 apps and 1 entree to share. The Mex corn, the Oyster Taco, and the Pulpo were absolutely delicious. If it wasnt for the disappointing Lamb Stew entree, I would have given 5 stars. The meat was so overdone and dry that we couldn't even chew it. The entire shank was cooked to death, possibly reheated more than once. It is a real shame that the chef would not notice this and made the decision to serve it as is on a Friday night. Unfortunately, he also did not realize that he was serving this dish to an award winning executive Chef and his wife. I'm very torn about giving this negative feedback because the flavors were outstanding. The meal would have been truly 5 stars if the lamb wasn't so awful.
