Nice park, but pretty wide open. Definitely in need of many more trees and plants. Free concerts are held under the new bandshell throughout the summer. It’s very relaxing sitting on a blanket near the pond listening to some really good live music. There’s a small playground behind the (very clean), restrooms. No swings though, and only for the very young. You’ll find a few really nice nature paths hidden in little pockets throughout the park; they’re perfect for a quiet stroll or cross country skiing. There are also some beautiful old trees in the back portion of the park. But keep an eye out when going for a walk in this park; there are some people who think this is a dog park and let their dogs run off leash, even though the signs say it’s forbidden. What I did see was a driveway or parking lot and a trash can--perfect for eating the meal I just bought, and tossing the trash, before I go to my next destination. Eventually, I saw a man walking down a path toward the garbage can so I left, not knowing much about this location. I was thinking it's a golf course.
