Like the previous review...I had to reschedule my skin check appointment, that I had already waited almost 6 months for, because a tested positive COVID the day before. I was stunned when they told me that i wouldn't be able to be seen for over 14 months. I was more than willing to wait 3 or 4 months (dermatology seems to be one of those fields that can't keep appointment lead times reasonable) but waiting over a year left me feeling like I was being punished for testing positive. The woman on the phone made me feel as though I was lying. That kind of lead-time, to me, is a sign of poor management, an unchecked influx of new patients with no regard for accommodating the ones you already have, a loss of staff or all of the above. I have never had any complaints about the staff or PA's but I guess I will be one less client clogging up your schedule. Thankfully, I was able to get into another practice in my area in a much more reasonable 3 months.
UPDATE: The office contacted me within 24 hours to state that they have added a provider and are making strides to overcome the issues I noted above. I had already booked with a new provider and felt I needed to follow through with that choice. I hope that the changes they have made bring them back to their former level of attentiveness. I...
Read moreI am a newer patient of Lisa Ball’s, and I am so incredibly grateful to have finally found a thoughtful and compassionate dermatologist after many years of searching. I have been to numerous dermatologists office’s to address my acne over the last 10 years, and have never been fully satisfied with the office personnel or the provider I have seen. The last office I went to (WNY Dermatology in Williamsville), was not in any way personable and I never saw the provider for more than 15 minutes, even at my initial appointment. I continued there for a short time to see if the regimen they prescribed me would work, but I was left disappointed by the unthoughtfulness of the evaluation and how impersonal the staff were. This led me to explore other providers in the northtowns, where I came across Neiman Dermatology. Lisa Bell has been very kind and thoughtful while I have been under her care, and I have seen substantial progress in my skin condition. I have been so happy with Neiman Dermatology that I have referred 2 of my friends who now see Lisa Ball, and have referred another. If you are reading this review and are looking for a new Dermatogist, I am certain you will not be disappointed with Neiman Dermatology. Thank you to the staff and Lisa for all the amazing...
Read moreCame here Oct 2024 for itchy scalp, crawling sensation at night, tender spots over my head and dandruff with hair loss. They said I had dermatitis and TE hair loss. They gave me steriod oils that worked to help with the symptoms but never did anything much for me. At the time I went in, I wanted a scalp biopsy or a scalp scraping… I felt I had lice or something… they ruled that out… but I was convince it was my pets! 1 month ago, I used ivermectin on my scalp and the crawling sensation went away… I believe I had mites! This whole time… I also have a bacterial infection that cause those red bumps on my scalp… this have affected me for 2 yrs. The only thing they did was look at the scalp… I know you cannot see mites with the naked eye… it was a total waste of my time and money! If only she listen to me from the beginning and did the scalp scraping… she will understand why I was so sure it was the pets. Right now, I need Antibiotics to get rid of the bumps, irritation and flakes… since it’s more likely a bacterial infection caused by all itching… scalp folliculitis… so far, I am the only one who have found the solution to the problem… for a place that has professions that I pay out of pocket to see… it was a big...
