where to startâŠ.. I was originally trying to sell a piece, so a customer of theirs, he brought the piece into the store to have it appraised. It was an extremely low appraisal and the two gentlemen working said they could get the same product for $6000 which was an iced out 90g 10k bracelet with VS diamonds. At first, I was frustrated because the appraisal was absurdly low, I know you couldnât make that piece for $6000 .. Moe and his uncle said the price was so low because they were not a big box store and could get diamonds and gold much Cheaper. So instead of being upset, I said I would like you to build me a necklace, we agreed on a 350g, 14 karat Cuban chain iced out with 30 carrots of VS diamonds for $32,000. I asked them to give me a sketch and exact diamond count And all the final details, they said they would get back to me in a day or two several messages went back-and-forth for the next week and a half, I got no details no sketch. I was randomly messaged and said my piece was complete!!!! I went into the store to look at the piece and it was a used necklace 317g with low-grade si quality diamonds that was not agreed Upon!!! then they try to charge me 29,000 For a piece that is nowhere near the quality we agreed to make for 32,000. They then proceeded to tell me they Cannot honor that price anymore and it would be much more moneyâŠ.. When I confronted him after leaving the store in text message Moe did not want to respondâŠ. moral to the story, they are not honest and not trustworthy, they lowballed my piece from the beginning Trying to sell a customer on something else they had instead of mine and when I called them out on their pricing They agreed to make me something, but never came through because it was a lie from the...
Read moreMoe greeted us with helpfulness and kindness from the moment we walked in the door. He took time to help my son pick out his perfect chain and recommended the most affordable option to him to ensure he liked it before investing in something more expensive. It was affordable, and my son left very happy. Hilltown also did a great job repairing and polishing two of my pieces, and were very honest and explained to me in great detail and in layman's terms how any attempt (they had carefully considered their limited options) to fix my third broken piece, due to the type of metal, type of stone, and the proximity of the break to the stone was very risky and could ruin the piece entirely. I will trust them with all of my future purchases and repairs. Thank you to Moe and the whole...
Read moreI was looking for a new jeweler after Finkle closed and had some charms that I needed Soldered on a bracelet. I was told it would be ready Friday afternoon. When I showed up, they said they had just seen it and it was done but couldnât find it. Then I see another man drop my charms on the floor before quickly getting them soldered on. No biggie that it wasnât done, but donât lie about it. Then they messed up the placement and after waiting to have it fixed, there was a charm on backwards and I just knew this wasnât the jeweler for me so I took it to joyelles in Delmar where they were thankfully...
