My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the store during the panDEMic that has been created. The Governor stated his own requirements that are not part of our rights constitution or laws for a fact. A requirement is not a law just for the record.I did call the police precinct to verify about wearing a mask in public and it is uncharted territory and just a recommendation it is NOT signed into law . Again I say I had the pleasure of dealing with one of your so-called managers Eric. Eric did not introduce himself nor present himself in a professional manner at all by any means. I actually waited a couple moments to speak to him and he was reluctant to come out of the store. After a few moments I decided we would shop elsewhere. One of the workers you had apparently handing out wipes while smoking cigarettes in the vestibule entrance during this nonsense. That employee not sure of her name was the one who recommended I speak to Eric. Eric walked out of the store like he was going to go and throw someone out of a bar or club very imposing in his own mind.He actually approached my car in a handicapped spot I am disabled 90%. Eric went on to say in an awful condescending manner and frightening tone this is not a public store and you do not have to shop here. I did reiterate with him a recommendation from the governor is not law nor is it federal law which your employee at the door handing out wipes is giving false misleading information telling customers itâs federal law.I understand the store most recently opened you really should be more selective with your so-called managers Iâm quite sure he has no experience whatsoever with the public. The customer is always right even when theyâre wrong. The proper way wouldâve been to recommend as customers we donât frequent the location rather then out right blurting out in public donât shop here anymore. You might wanna look into his disposition demeanor work attire and how he addresses your customers youâre not running a club or a bar. I am quite sure corporate would not condone his comments behavior or direction of authority which is very limited in his case. The panDEMic is no reason to abuse customers specially disabled ones thatâs not a territory he wants to enter into. Eric best wishes on your success in the future you should enroll in sensitivity classes and learn how to deal with the public if thatâs what your goals are making your career In the public supermarket business remember we donât pay to shop there itâs a public place. He also stated that it wasnât a public place it was a private entity which is also 100% false he should be educated on the history of the store policies procedures and protocol and obviously wasnât at all...
Read moreThe store itself and its employees are great. I love the breads and all the fresh baked goods and I suggest to anyone who hasnât tried them to give it a go. I did, however, have one negative experience, not related to this location, but regarding the Lidl app. I downloaded the app early December in lieu of the upcoming opening. This morning, my family and I roamed the store for over an hour and bought $155.40 worth of products. When we checked out, I forgot about the app and the fact that I could scan the QR-Code to get credit for my purchase. The employee at the register didnât remind me either (in a way understandable, as this was the teams first day working there and it was super busy this morning). Since all receipts have a barcode, I assumed I could go to the store later to scan the barcode on my receipt and have the amount added to my Lidl app account. The store was unable to do that and asked me to call customer service, which I did. They told me that their POS system does not allow this task. I would have to go back with all my products, cancel the purchase, and re-purchase everything again. This was impossible, since my family and I already consumed most of the bakery items for breakfast this morning... For a company that has stores all over the world, it is hard for me to believe that they are incapable of managing a small task like this. They have apps, barcodes, QR codes... and they canât add a purchase to a member number that they so actively ask people to create? Disappointing!! Make sure you scan your code before your purchase is finalized. I lost $150 towards myLidl rewards. Their rewards system is missing flexibility, considering the way they push it on the app. The five stars are solely for the store in Center Moriches and its employees... definitely not for the myLidl app or their poorly...
Read moreHello. What happened to the Lidl in Center Moriches I used to get the warmth of my second home from. This place has gone down in every aspect possible and I can see the doors will not be open much longer if the issues are not corrected. I am a certified peer specialist and specialize in communication issues. I see and evaluate every place I go into. I go into lidl frequently and upon first opening I used to greeted by employees and cashier's like family. They knew me, Greeted me, smiled at me talked to me and treated me like family. I can see all the original cashier's and employees are gone. And the store is in Complete disarray. There is one check out line usually open, which is not enough and with the exception of knowing how to use a cash register the cashier's have absolutely no public relations skills which is as critical as technical skills. Today I received complete arrogance from an employee and I am personally tired of being minimized in a society as a whole that has forgotten how important courtesy and communication is. I can tell you there doors will be Shut soon. This business is in distress and needs alot of support and help. Trust me on this. There is a serious communication and management issue with this store. It's nothing but cold and mechanical. Put the human and the communication back into this store. I can see they are seriously struggling and humans like me are paying for it. I deserve so much better as a paying customer. I also speak for the rest of society reading this. I'm on your side. Thank you...
