Smoke Shack BBQ — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I really wanted to like this place because I love barbecue however, I placed an order for two 2 meat platters and it was over $40! I ordered two sides which come with platters one of which was french fries for both platters. I was very tired I didn’t check the bag when I took the order I drove home and alas there were no french fries in bag! And there’s no phone number to call! I wanted to call them to tell them to make french fries so I can pick them up and I couldn’t get in touch with them so I had to leave my ribs to get cold, while my husband ate his pulled pork and pulled chicken, which he said had grizzly hard things in it! I got there I was annoyed they were like oh yeah we forgot the fries! Sorry, not acceptable! Wasn’t like they were busy! I had to wait for them to make the fries - they offered me a free dessert. Driven by a few times and finally tried it out. Brisket Sandwich was good. Meat was tender and had good flavor. The bun tasted oddly too sweet for me. Probably get it in a wrap next time. Portion of fries that came with it was good. For a "small" they give a good amount. If you like the greasy style fresh cut fries you will love these. Monster Mac and cheese was ok. The Pulled pork has too much sauce and was once again too sweet for my personal taste. If there's a maybe a spicy alternative to this I would probably enjoy it better. Value wise for the price it was good for the portion given to you if you compare to other BBQ places.

The textures were gross :( I was disappointed. We ended up throwing it out. The fries were super soggy, the ribs had a A LOT of fat it was kind of gross and super greasy. We had the mozzarella sticks, they were ok. Had the shack bites too, it was ok. Had the pulled pork sandwich and it had weird chewy pieces which also grossed me out 😭 had Mac and cheese and it was super bland but it was the best part of all I had. It was disappointing because I’d been wanting to try. Maybe it’s better there? We got it for take out. Threw out the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich, we couldn’t eat it.
