Gourmet Garden — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Ordered from here for dinner tonight, they got my order completely wrong when I ordered chicken I got a small wonton soup instead. Called back and informed them of this mishap, ended up saying we will go all the way back to get it since it was someone's dinner. They call us back to tell us to bring the wonton soup back... okay? We bring it back for them to tell us they're going to resell it to somebody else... GROSS!!! We informed him that that is technically a health code violation at this point we're kind of pissed off between wasting our time back and forth and then that which grossed us out, they then told us oh we will give it to someone for free... so you messed the order up made us drive back, specifically called us back to ask us to bring the soup only to say you will give it to someone else free! I'm not saying we wanted the soup but hello nothing like pushing customers away! Absolutely the best Chinese restaurant on the island that I have eaten at. When I can't get to the restaurant I order off of their website. The utilize menufy. Soups are great. The egg drop and coconut soups are top notch! Egg rolls are fresh and crispy. Pork fried rice and white rice are great. I have had sesame chicken, chicken with broccoli, beef with broccoli, chicken chow mein, shrimp with lobster sauce and boneless spare ribs. Leftovers hold up and reheat very well. I recommend utilizing a vented microwavable container to reheat(for best results when reheating. I suggest using an air fryer for reheating fried products at a low temperature. I am writing this review after throwing out almost $100.00 of inedible food. This place really fell off. First the delivery driver was insisting I pay cash when I venmoed the payment over. They need to let their drivers know when people paid in advance as it’s aggravating to wait for him to call back to the store to confirm payment before he gives you your food.

As for the food, I remember this place was wonderful. Now? Not so much. So overly salted that we could barely finish the meal.
