My family had donated our beloved pet duck to them a year prior and had to pay for them to even take it. After my two younger siblings had continuously begged to come back to visit the duck, my parents finally agreed to make the trip. When they all arrived, they explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to see the duck just for a few minutes then leave. They were told "No" very flippantly and were forced to pay the full price of $40 for only 3 out of the 5 of them of them to simply see their former pet and then leave five minutes later. Just a few kinks that can...

We weren’t staying for the day, they just wanted to look at her. Simple compassion or understanding would have gone a long way. Instead my wife paid the $40 and spent the 10 minutes looking at the duck and left with the kids. I would have donated something If they were let in or asked for something to help with future care. We never got the opportunity, we were just...
