Carlo’s Pizza Of Manorville — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

This was the 5th and final time I will go. Every time I have gone there the miserable, unhappy staff who can barely utter a sentence to communicate or muster a smile have made it an uncomfortable experience. My 13 year old son came along with me to order two stuffed meat slices along with a few other specialty slices even noticed and asked me what everyone's problem was there. The pizzas were ok but when I ordered a Chicken Marsala slice, the stoic and aloof girl working there grabbed a Chicken Parm slice. I told her that was the wrong one and she argued with me. I told her Marsala doesn't have tomato sauce. She then said "this ones not for you". When the order was ready, she just placed it on the counter and didn't tell me it was mine. Mind you, there were a few orders that came out for different customers, so I asked if it was mine and she nodded her head slightly. I handed her my debit card and she threw the receipt on the box for me to sign and walked away. I did not want to leave my signed receipt with some personal info on it just laying on the counter so I patiently waited about 5 minutes at the counter until she came back as if I was annoying her. I said "Here, can you please take this. I don't want this just laying on the counter." She picked it up without saying anything and put it right back down. I then handed it to the other unhappy looking employee and asked her to do the same thing. She said nothing but did comply. I then picked up my order and walked out. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. My son asked , "What was that about Dad?" I said ," that's the last time we will go here, that's what it is". When we got home, we find out the stuffed slices were not meat, but vegetable, which was really just tons of bitter broccoli rabe. We promptly drove to Pennacchios in Manorville, ordered and had a perfectly pleasant experience, and the pizza was better to boot. In this day and age, there are pizza places on every corner. In addition, Carlos is in a hard to access location, so they should be happy people find their way to them. Maybe the manager who always looks angry is creating a bad work environment. I don't know why, but I have had four other similarly negative experiences there. I have heard that the one in Mastic is way better, so maybe head there or somewhere else. This place does not deserve your hard...

UPDATE: In response to the owner yes this is the correct location, we live in Manorville down the road.

Gave this place two different chances because it is so close to where we live and it's a shame how none of the staff seem to care and are so rude!

The first time we called at 1030pm to make sure they were still open and they were till 11pm. We got there at 1035/40pm (literally only a few minutes from our house) and when we got their we got annoyed stares and attitudes from the two girls behind the counter. We got a few slices that they had out and they still had 20 min till closing. No reason for an attitude, if you don't like being open till 11 then change your hours.

The second time we went in during the day and there was one person in front of us being helped. There was 5 different people behind the counter (although only 1 guy was actually working, the others were standing around talking) and not one person even bothered to greet us or ask if we were being helped. After waiting for almost 10min a young man came in behind us and the young girl behind the counter ignored us but helped and flirted with the young man. Literally no one acknowledged we were there until the man in front of us paid and left and we still had to wait another 5 minutes after that till one of the men finally said "are you being helped?" We literally laughed and walked out in disbelief. Everyone at this place is rude and doesn't care about certain customers.

My brother and his friends have ordered from here as well and encountered the same treatment and have had their orders messed up on numerous occasions. I highly DO NOT recommend this...

Excellent Catering from Carlos of Manorville This is Bill from the Knights of Columbus in Center Moriches. We have the occasion to order catering for many events. We try to utilize all the different restaurants in our local area. Today August 30 we had the occasion to use Carlos of Manorville. Although I was under the impression that Carlos was just a pizza restaurant. Many of my counsel brothers informed me that the food is always excellent, and we should give them a try.

So we ordered a catering for 50 people. We chose several different entrées. We had the stuffed ravioli, chicken cutlet Parmesan, chicken francese, muscles marinara and shrimp scampi. We added a Greek salad. And I have to tell you, every entrée was excellent we only had 50 people but everyone raved about the food. It was so good in fact, that I felt compelled to write this review.

I was also impressed with the professional delivery service and properly equipped company van. The food was delivered on time and set up by young man named Sal very professional and courteous. I highly recommend Carlos if you are looking for a professional catering service that delivers excellent food give Carlos a try, you will not be disappointed. I am happy to say that Carlos is now my favorite Italian restaurant in the area and will be sure to use them again for our catering...
