UPDATE: I previously posted a nice review for Carm’s Liverpool stemming from a great experience. I’d like to update my 5 star review and lower my rating. This past week I took my dogs in for baths. Both animals were seniors. They had been to Carm’s many times for grooming and we had very good service and a caring staff. This past visit was really disappointing. This was one of my dogs’ last bath. She was being put to rest due to a drastic decline in her health. I was assured by the groomer that she was going to spend a little extra time and take it slow with my dog due to her age, health, and the fact that this was her final bathing. My dogs were taken to the back right away. I returned to my vehicle which I had to clean because my dog had an accident in the car. Apparently the workers thought I had left, and went outside to the parking lot to smoke and chat. My animals were sent straight into a kennel, not to getting bathed! I was contacted about 2 hours later to pick the animals up. When I arrived, both dogs were really wet, they didn’t smell fresh like usual, and the staff member commented to me that she was unable to get ā€œthe poopā€ off of my dogs front legs. I explained that it was not poop, but fresh pumpkin from her meals. She had tiny pieces of leaves from her walk still in her fur by her ears, her eyes were not wiped and she had eye boogies, her nose still had pumpkin on it, and the dirt on her front legs was not removed. I went home, wiped her nose and eyes clean, and brushed her fur. The leaves, pumpkin, and dirt came out from simple light brushing. The groomer also commented on how she had to help my dog up the stairs! My dog has never been able to go up stairs, and has been carried up any stairs for over 3+ years. Why on earth would someone think a dying dog would climb stairs?! The main reason I chose Carm’s from the beginning was because I was told by their staff that there were no stairs and my dogs were able to walk right into the bathing area. Even though I was beyond ticked off, I still left a very good, but not well deserved tip. This will definitely be the last time my other dog will get groomed at this facility. $103 for two dogs to be rinsed, not bathed with shampoo, and sent home wet! That’s what you get for a basic bath! Previous Review: just picked my dogs up from grooming and they look absolutely beautiful. Their groomers are extremely kind and patient with the animals. They did a great job on my two elderly dogs and I highly recommend them.

First time taking our pup she couldn’t get a mat. She said her scissors were medical grade and that it was just too compacted and suggested a vet whom upon calling didn’t do grooming and refused to see her for that compacted paw. I got it in 2 mins at home, the only reason I went is because we inherited a dog that was not brushed properly. If I had known these tangles were so easy to cut and brush out I would have done it myself. Anyways, so we go back a second time like they had scheduled her for and we tell them about her seizures and she gives our dog rosemary oil… you know… a neurotoxin….not to mention her dog not on a leash at the desk barking mad. My poor pup could barely handle their stressful environment. I think actual education or a new groomer is in order…. Totally found someone better! I would avoid this place if you care about the wellbeing of your fur baby. Look at the other reviews… some say they don’t give medicine to boarded dogs half the time! When you try to call it’s always to voicemail so good luck getting any help. It’s gross that they can stay in business… If my dog gets another seizure and dies I’m suing.

If I could give -10 stars I would. I wish I had read the reviews. Took my Shi-poo yesterday for his first grooming there (usually goes elsewhere but they were booked). He was matted and was going to be cut short anyway which i knew. I get a call 3hrs later that he doesn't like scissors and she "nicked" his paw. So...I'm thinking "nicked"...I get there and was there another hour trying to get it to stop bleeding. They wrapped it and I took him out front to go to the bathroom and he got the wrap off and started to bleed again.( I had paid before he was brought out and left a hefty $25 tip.)And she also said he's pawing at his left eye. Well...his eye was nasty and he could barely open it and IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT when I dropped him off. A 5yr old could've groomed him better!! He looked awful which I didn't pay much attention to due to my other concerns. After I got him home I put a warm compress on his eye several times and he laid next to me for 2hrs. I went to work and my husband calls me and says he is taking him to the vet and that he can't open his eye and we don't dare take the wrap off of his paw fearing it will bleed again. I wouldn't take roadkill there and I'm not kidding. I will at least be getting my tip back (total bill was $88). Waiting to hear back from husband to find out what is wrong and how bad the " nick" is as they tried to show me but he was bleeding and I couldn't see it. I am LIVID! After the vet visit today I will post and update. DAYCARE THERE IS ONE THING AND...

I use to leave my dog in baldwinsville location and it was awesome. They were truthful all the time about his feeding and stuff. They never lied to us and they use to give all his extra foods back while returning. But This time that location was already pack so i ended up leaving my dog in liverpool location and it was terrible. I always have to hand feed my dog at home and he doesn’t eat anything by himself so i left 1 bag of treats along with extra treats and 1box of dog food which was a lot just for a night along with a jar of PB . When we went to get him in the morning they told me he ate everything which is a straight lie…. The dog who doesn’t even eat anything by himself ate all his foods along with extra treats and stuff i left just for a night.. unbelievable…And the dog food and treats that i gave them was a lot just for a night .didn’t even got the pb jar back , nothing not the extra foods and treats either and as soon as we took him home he started having diarrhea x3, his bed was all wet, he smelled terrible. His skin down his nose was eroded and has ulcer just in 1 night. I don’t know what exactly happened. He is my baby . I really felt bad.The staff over there don’t take good care of your dog that’s for sure..Don’t ever take your dog in...
