As someone who typically gives places the benefit of the doubt, I was so offended at the course conditions and attitude of the staff here that I am going out of my way to make a google account to post this. See below for a list of complaints:
the entire first fairway is littered with range balls because the owner is too cheap to install new netting to separate the driving range from the course. It appears ownership wants you to take a “dealer’s choice” approach on which ball to hit for your second shot.
I have never seen such poor greens maintenance in my life. I am not joking when I say I legitimately saw mushrooms growing in my line on an 8ft putt, which leads me to believe that the greens haven’t been mowed in somewhere between 3-6 months.
This is the first course I’ve ever played where the tee boxes don’t actually give a preferred lie. It wouldn’t kill the staff here to try to maintain them, or even just pretend to care and move the tee markers around a bit. Get comfortable hitting out of sand here even though there aren’t any bunkers, because that appears to be the lie they want to give you on any par 3 tee boxes.
Since this place seems so desperate to rip off their customers, they refuse to track tee times or maintain any semblance of pace of play. They’ll take your money and let you sit and suffer for 6 hours on their glorified par 3 layout.
In relation to point 3 (and by far my biggest gripe about the course… which is saying something) is that despite not having set tee times and running an overall shoddy operation, they refuse to issue rain checks. We got poured on for 15 mins in our carts without wind screens (see point 5 below) before we decided to just call it a day and get our rain checks, but the staff here had other ideas. Apparently paying $35 for a round of golf and getting soaked is not enough of a qualifier for a rain check here. Also, I think the woman working the front counter was legally blind as she told me they don’t issue rain checks if “it isn’t raining”. Either she couldn’t see me drenched in water or she figured I took a dip in one of the disgusting, algae-laden ponds on their course.
The carts are somehow in worse shape than the course. No windshields, no baskets, missing cupholders, straps falling apart, etc. You’re better off paying one of the maintenance guys the $20 cart fee to caddy for you, he might smell like cigarettes too but at least he’ll be able to carry your bag around.
The 40 year old woman with braces who works the register and the portly mute (who I can only assume is her handler based on his series of head nods and eye rolls to communicate) were some of the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve never been laughed at for requesting a rain check during a thunderstorm, but that was enough to put me over the edge and write this review.
In summary, if you want to have a fun day of golf, don’t even bother coming here. The place is a complete dump, and the people running the show are...
Read moreThe only good thing about this place is it’s the only golf range around. Other than that the place is a disaster. The balls are absolutely horrible. The course has absolutely no supervision. There is literally no Etiquette enforced by the employees. I tried to play there and the woman in the shop lets a 6 person group out with 3 carts. I asked her why she would do such a thing. She said, oh they will let you go through. We get on the 1rst T and waited 15 minutes. Then they T off on the 2nd hole with no acknowledgment of our group of 3 right behind them. I drive out to the 2nd green and explained to them that they have to let us play through. Told them they can move their carts way off to the right and wait until we hit. They walk right back on the green again. I signal for them to move. They moved finally. My question is, why in the world would a so called golf course employee slow it in the first place. So, I call the shop and the guy was only concerned if we played through. He could have cared less that a paying customer had a complaint. He didn’t want to discuss it and blew it off so I hung up in disgust. Then I tried to address it a few days later with this guy and he started yelling and speaking over me like a belligerent animal. I couldn’t get an word in. Then tells me to get out of his golf shop screaming like an out of control moron. Not to mention, I’ve mentioned a dozen times that they need to post signs for designated grass only hitting. All summer people line up behind you from the mat stalls and hit behind us. Putting our lives in danger. There are constant arguments and potential fist fights. The manager could care less. The owner won’t spend a dime. The place is pathetic and poorly managed. The employees are belligerent . I won’t go back there and spend money to be...
Read moreJust had the absolute worst experience at this mini golf course. The first two holes are in desperate need of repair. The rest of the course seems like it has had some work done recently. However, the maintenance could be better as there is a lot of debris on the course that affects gameplay. My biggest concern was the four young unoccupied children who were running through the course and playing through everyone's games. They probably had played the entire course three or four times. There were no parents in sight. They were completely playing on the hole that we were playing on as we were still trying to play and running amuck. No one was stopping them. Other patrons were also upset. When I went and spoke to the teenage employee, he couldn't be bothered to remove his feet from the top of the counter and take his AirPods out. I expressed that these kids were ruining everyone's game by running through them as they are currently playing and playing through their games while they had already completed the course multiple times. He couldn't be bothered and said to me that I should say something to them. I explained to him that I did say something to them, and they continued their negative behavior. I asked for a refund and he told me he couldn't do that and that I should go talk to someone at the pro shop. There was a young couple behind us that were equally as upset and they quit at hole 11 just like we did. I suggested that they go to the pro shop to complain. More training needs to be in order for employees as well as restrictions on ages of minor patrons who are not accompanied by a parent. Those parents were probably out playing a...
