Went there about 2 years ago a few times. Bought serveral Indian Head pennies, liberty and Buffalo nickels are a very good /fair price but the last time I went was a terrible experience. Two employees were there and not the older gentleman I ussually bought from. I was looking at Indian Heads. They had a number of the same date coins and I picked the nicest one. They wanted a fair price, but it was more than I had on me. I told them I will be right back as I am just going to the ATM at the Mobile up the street to withdrew the needed cash. I returned less than 10 minutes later. They handed me the coin while I counted out the cash, I looked at the coin with my "loop" glasses and diffidently was not the coin I had picked out to buy. They switched it with an inferrior grade coin of the same date but it was in the same holder. It was obviously not the same as the number of diamonds was one less and it also had an obvious small nick on the obverse. I was do caught off guard that I just said "I decided I don't want it", put the coin on the counter, turn around, never looked back walked out to never return. Never have and never will. They didn't even say a word to me as I left since they knew, I knew...

The business under new ownership makes me not want to buy and definitely not sell with them.. They are always priced higher than anyone and also buy very low from people. Better places with better deals on a bigger selection around. I do like the staff, decent folk but the buy/sell is not in comparison with others. I gave them my business because they are local but offering way under spot when others offer above spot and selling at premiums almost if not higher than online big dealers like APMEX makes it not worth patronizing also selection on display is always skimpy. This really is more of a Pawn shop vibe.

John was extremely patient and took the time to go through all of my coins. We had 5 tubs worth of coins from when my Brother passed away. He brought Brian to assist due to the size of the collection. They educated me at the same time. They took most of the collection and handed us a check on the spot. John also suggested some other people for me that handle stamps and books as well. Great customer service and spent 3 hours with us didn't just rush out the door.
