Pat's Foods — Local services in Town of Florence

I’ve been doing the majority of my grocery shopping here since they opened. Very good quality and selection for a smaller store. I’d rather give my business to a local store if possible. Competitive prices. BUT…they recently installed self check outs. I don’t mind when grabbing one or two items, but I’m not doing that when I have a cart full. Most stores still have at least one employee staffed lane. I don’t want to have to drive all the way to Iron Mountain, but I will if I have to. I DON’T WORK HERE!

UPDATE: stopped today to grab a few things. Picked up some butter that was on sale. I get to the checkout and am told you now have to sign up to be a rewards member to get the sale price!! No offer to help. Didn’t even tell me how one goes about signing up. Nope! Just said “it’s new. You have to be a member to get that price”. OK, you’ve officially made it too much of a hassle for me to shop here. I might buy one or two items if I really need them, but otherwise I’m going elsewhere. Plenty of stores with better prices who still actually have cashiers and I don’t have to jump thru hoops to pay the...

Absolutely terrible. Possible the worst grocery store experience I’ve ever had. I was in a town about 20 minutes from Florence, and I was thinking of getting McDonald’s. It was decided that I would go into the grocery store of Florence and get something to microwave instead. I looked up to see what time they close at. It said 9:00pm. So I decided to skip McDonald’s and go here instead. I went up to their door at around 7:50, and ON THE DOOR it said they were open until 9. I went in, quickly used the bathroom, only to have someone knock on the door and tell me the store was closed. I got kicked out before I could get my food. Great, now there’s nowhere that’s still open for me to get food. If you close at 8, then DONT have a sign on your front door saying you close at 9....

Wanted to contact the Florence, WI store. Had some questions for them. But unfortunately the phone service around here at times isn't the best, etc. So, we couldn't do it using the phone number provided. Now normally places have e mail contacts also. For situations just like this or as another option, etc. So, we went to the website to find it. But it wasn't meant to be. They do have an e mail option for some of their other stores. But, Florence wasn't listed. We recommend the addition of an e mail contact option for the Florence store.
