Young's Florist of Giardino Floral Company — Local services in Town of Gates

My girlfriend hurt her neck a few days ago and she went to work today- working through the pain. I thought it would be nice to surprise her with a floral delivery to help brighten her day. I don’t live in Rochester so I had to Google a florist- any florist actually would do really, but I hit the jackpot by selecting Young’s! Cheri answered the phone and she was so great! I told her what I wanted to do and after a few basic questions like my budget (I told her $70 with delivery), she pretty much took the reigns- even helping me compose the card. I was at work and had literally about 4 minutes to get all this done. It might have taken 3- but I wasn’t exactly timing the process. All I knew was that Cheri would make a beautiful arrangement, within my price range and delivered that day. 20 minutes later I get a ping on my phone and it was Cheri telling me my floral arrangement was done and would be out the door and on its way shortly. She even sent me a picture for my approval! I’ve NEVER had such personalized service from a florist like this in my life! I was just stunned at how efficient Young’s was- and what a beautiful job Cheri did! Usually if I want to order flowers it’s a 1-800 number and you kinda hope for the best, right? Sometimes it’s good, less often it’s great- but it’s fast and relatively easy- if not exactly cheap. This time I decided to give a small, local company my business and- WOW!! So pleased and so very grateful to Young’s and to Cheri in particular for helping me look like a superstar- my girlfriend actually cried… she was having such a hard day and this just… you know?😢 It was really something special and completely turned...

Words can not express the gratitude I have for Cher here at Young's. The talent she has is remarkable. A true artist of the highest form. My father died unexpectedly 5/7/24. I live in N.C. and would not be able to travel for his services on Mother's Day. I was lost with what to do. I knew that the only way I could say goodbye to my father was through the language of flowers. I merely presented a generic arrangement I had selected and explained my situation over the phone with Cher. From that 1 phone call, she was able to create everything that I needed to have said about my Dad in a beautiful standing arrangement. Every stem, every blossom, spoke of a 45 year relationship between a girl and her Dad. An expression of joy and remembrance regardless of time or distance. This is something that's gifted only from God. Although I live in N.C., I still have plenty of family in N.Y. with lots of occasions! I will never use another florist in that area! I had my favorite florist in PA do a teleflora bouquet for Mother's Day. They went with Young's. I spent over $60.00 when all was said and done. The bouquet arrived in a timely manner and the flowers were what I had asked for; daisies and yellow roses. The flowers were in good shape. However, my mother said she was very disappointed with the bouquet. She described it as in a straight cylindrical vase. It had a ribbon wrapped around it as I had requested. The ribbon only had a knot - not even a bow. It was barely long enough to tie and put a knot into it. The roses were hidden in the middle. She said the bouquet was pretty, but not near the amount of money I spent on it. She described it as looking as if maybe a high school student had taken the bouquet and stuffed into the vase. There didn't appear to be care and planning put into this bouquet. I am VERY disappointed and will be sure to NEVER go through...
