Geneva Country Club Golf Course — Local services in Town of Geneva

Imagine being the MOB, planning for 65+ people for an after dinner meet & greet for drinks & light snacks and you/guests arrive from out of town on a cold, dark Fall night and it’s lights out. Not a warm fuzzy feeling. But that’s what happened. Not even the courtesy of a returned call to explain. Nothing. Zilch. Crickets. FORTUNATELY I had the number of a venue I had been in previous discussions with. They didn’t skip a beat and had us come over immediately. But who does this? Well apparently the reputation of the GCC is out. When I shared what happened many of the locals said “doesn’t surprise me“.. That feedback says it all. There really is no need for me to leave a nasty review for their actions, karma will take care of that. By the sound of it the place is already starting to implode. This is just for those with high hopes and an inability to act quick on their feet out in the cold like me. Move on if you’re looking for not only a view but also integrity. My niece was married here yesterday. The Country Club is a lovely venue with its gorgeous views of Seneca Lake. There is plenty of room (200 invited) with well kept greens and landscaping that blends well with the lakeside. The clubhouse is spacious with lots of natural light. Even with a crowd, there were many exitsto the outside patio. The wedding was outdoors with plenty of seating. That said, the only complaint was that the buffet served could be improved. There was a lot of salt used in the food prep; from the salad dressing to the entrees (baked chicken, ziti, meatballs, green beans). There were ample quantities, and the wait staff were very good. Recently attended a wedding reception here and it was VERY nice! Great venue, and layout, for the most part. There seemed to be a lot of smokers at this party, so it was nice that there was a really nice area for them to go outside and smoke, as opposed to just gathered around some back door. The patio area was gorgeous (if a little hard to breathe on lol). We were seated in the "back room" which the way it is set up made up not able to see the head table at all, but we DID have a great view of the lake, and we could at least hear everything that was going on.

Not sure if the staff that was there was from the country club or from the caterer, but they were ON POINT, also. Great service.
