Three Kings Tattoo, and specifically, Rebecca, ended what was essentially a 10 year nightmare for me in the most positive and beautiful way! I cannot say enough how great my experience was or recommend Rebecca enough!!! I had had a coverup done at a different location and the artist ended up being unlicensed/inexperienced and basically messed up the coverup, which led to me needing to spend hundreds of dollars and years in laser removal and caused me such anxiety over tattoos in general. I had went to two other places to discuss options for cover-ups when the lasering was no longer effectively removing the remaining ink. Both artists I had went to at two other different locations were either unwilling/unable to help me achieve the cover-up idea I wanted and/or just didn’t want to deal with my anxiety. I explained the situation to Rebecca and her colleagues and everyone was so nice and patient and understanding. Rebecca spent many hours helping me figure out how my cover-up idea could be done. She was so patient and kind towards me…I really can’t express my gratitude for that enough. Now aside from the patience and kindness, I knew Rebecca is an extremely talented artist, but her cover-up so far exceeded my expectations of what I ever thought would be possible given the limitations of a cover-up. Not only would you never know, but it was exactly what I would have wanted if it were a brand new tattoo. I am so in love with it and impressed and I really and truly never thought I could be that way about tattoos again. I really cannot stress enough, Rebecca is amazing. If you have any doubts, I really encourage you to have a consult with her. You absolutely will not regret it!!!!
The image is immediately after I was tattooed so it has a “new skin” bandage on it. I will try to remember to post an updated picture after...
Read moreI was recommended to this shop and the extremely talented Artist Malory by a friend. I had been to countless tattoo shops before this including some of those rated the best on Long Island looking for someone who could cover up a disaster of a tattoo I got when I was 18 years old. None of the shops I went to said they could do it and suggested I undergo expensive laser treatments first to lighten it before I get a cover-up. Then I walked into Three Kings and within minutes of discussing what I needed Malory was confident she could cover it up but was also honest in what type of tattoo it would require to do the job. She took her time with me going over exactly what I was looking for. I sent her several ideas of what I wanted and when I finally went in on the day of my tattoo appointment I was amazed that the pictures she drew up were exactly what I was looking for. The entire staff at the shop was kind and accommodating. They helped me feel as calm as I could. The place is immaculate and extremely clean -very different from the first place I went 25 years before. The price point was very reasonable and they do not try and rake you over the coals. Malory made me feel extremely comfortable with the whole process and despite me getting a fairly large piece, she managed to keep the pain to minimum. When all was said and done I was extremely happy with my cover up piece, you can’t even tell I ever had another tattoo there. It was exactly what I was looking for. The intricate detail in the tattoo really stands out and the colors pop. I was so pleased with the work I got another small tattoo while I was there and will be...
Read moreI went to get my first tattoo at Three Kings in Merrick, Long Island. I had no idea what to expect because the Internet gives you mixed opinions, and so I just went in knowing that I was following my gut...but also that I had done my research about my tattoo artist. She had the technique I was looking for. She had amazing art displayed in all her social media pages, and above all, she was a Latina female and I wanted to support women in a male dominated business! So, I can tell you with no doubt whatsoever that Three Kings is super clean and overly thorough with prevention of infections. Everything was mighty clean and used brand new on my skin. I felt at ease every second of my experience. My tattoo artist, none other than the amazing Malory Moreno. What a cool individual and best of all, I felt no pain whatsoever! My tattoo was a design that I had considered getting done for years, and she inked my skin following every detail of the drawing I gave her. Think details, tiny details, curves, shades, all done to perfection, revealed as my tattoo heals and peels (normal part of the process, of course). I would recommend the place for sure, but 100% most of all would recommend Mallory's...
