Dollar General — Local services in Town of Highland

I have been in several Dollar General stores Over the past 6 months. This particular location is by far my preferred choice and it is always clean, organized and staffed by friendly, courteous associates. Prices are very competitive Especially when you utilize their digital coupon program through the Dollar General Web site and/or app. There is a decent variety of products in stock such as general merchandise, frozen and refrigerated foods, canned goods etc. It seems that in my general area, every time you turn around there is a Dollar General store. They are popping up all over the place Which obviously means they are doing well and in my opinion that is due to their pricing. In rural areas such as mine, it is a very welcome sight to see all of these new DG stores because in some instances the closest grocery store or department store maybe 20 miles away or more. It is nice to see a chain discount store like this serving the lesser populated areas which are so often forgotten. One other thing that I find very appealing about these stores are their operational hours. They are open from 8:00 a.m. To 10:00 p.m. 7...

Great prices and merchandise. I just don't understand why they only hire female employees. Your lucky to see any male employee at all....THERE IS NOT ONE MAKE EMPLOYEE AT ALL!! Asked around in store and out was told only,had 3-3 make empmyees ever at this location and now they Do NOT HAVE 1 MALE EMPLOYEE AT ALL!! They Refuse to hire a Male was told the Store Manager Maria will Not hire any Nske employees , do far for the last several months this has been a true Fact!! Read a lot of mixed reviews of this place but the store was well stocked, the employees at the counter were very polite and efficient. If you’re visiting and restocking in supplies for your stay like we were this is a good place to buy your snacks, ice cream treats and cereal than the Peck’s market across the street.
