Peace Village is an oasis tucked in the natural peaceful space of the Catskill Mountains. I attended the Leading From the Heart Retreat and spent a glorious reflective weekend reinforcing my beliefs, soaking in new inspirations and revising some perspectives. The property and all the buildings and accommodations are so very, very clean and so well maintained. Its minimalist and simple in nature which reflects a calm and uncluttered space we've come to create in our lives. The food is vegetarian, the staff are volunteers, the information and care is authentic, genuine and very insightful.....simple means to help us learn and feel safe to empower ourselves. I visited Peace Village for the first time on September 3rd, 2024, and it was truly one of the most peaceful experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed with open arms. The atmosphere was serene, allowing me to deeply connect with my inner self through meditation. My meditation was so profound that it moved me to tears, releasing a part of me that I hadn’t accessed before.

One of the most beautiful moments was being greeted by a peacock—one of my favorite animals—which felt like a special sign and a reminder of someone dear to me. This experience solidified my decision to return in the future for more grounding and deep meditation.

Based on few recommendations, I plan to visit the place for a day trip. They took many information from me about our visit and after 2 days received a text that they are close for that visitor. I have feeling that if you are not interested in one of their daily program they may turn you down. It should be open...
