Full head of highlights and new look which I loved! $180+ (Pic #3)
My 2nd appt in November which was 4.5hrs LONG for a root touch up ended in a complete failure and reversing EVERYTHING that was done in June, yet I still paid $180 plus tip. (Pic#2)
Novembers flop was a complete waste of time, money, and energy In the midst of my nursing school finals, before the holidays, and while also dealing with my father in laws 3week stay at Peconic Bay for Covid and burying him, so I emailed the owner promptly the following day but I wasnt immediately clearing my schedule for another possible disaster during the worst 2months of my year. Owner (Jaclyn) Replied to my email offering to make it right by scheduling an appt for me to come in when IM READY to "have Liz fix your hair and give you the same look you had back in June, FREE of charge " I felt that was fair and planned to schedule that as soon as things calmed down a bit and holiday madness-Covid variant surge went down a bit especially since the owner had stated, "when your ready". I was at peace with that though and was chalking it up to my loss since I had no clue when I would be able to schedule that amount of time again so soon...
Until Monday, 1/17 when the girl Liz who did my hair, CALLED ME out of.the blue and said "hi Lauren, how's your hair...im sorry, i left the toner in way too long, will you schedule an appt with me to allow me a chance to fix it?" I said sure assuming that meant that we'd be even after that? My appointment schedule for 1/20/22 and against my better judgment, I went back and there was no discussion of partial highlights, full, face frame, cut , etc. Liz just knew what needed to be corrected and went to it. After 3hrs, I was satisfied with the look although i was now ALL blonde with the exception of the uneven inch brown roots left at front hairline (Pic#1)
I thought, I best not look a gift horse in the mouth and at least I'm not leaving in tears like I did last time. As I'm digging into my bag to give a generous tip for Lizs time considering it was free of charge, the receptionist tells me "so its going to be $150.00 for today, owner Jaclyn operates behind the scenes...just pay and follow up with Jaclyn about the reversing the charge since she had already offered the fix...this can be easily cleared up tomorrow with her."
Well, after going back and forth with owner all weekend she refused to reverse the charge and refund the money stating that fix "free of charge" was only valid for up to two weeks after the problem occurred and even at that it would've only been "a few foils". Owner also stated, "well why did you pay for the service if you weren't happy?!?" All back talk and excuses but still firmly refused to credit me like she originally promised.
The right thing to do is to reverse the charge of either Thursdays visit OR the disaster back in November. One would think as a business/business owner you'd want to operate with a bit more integrity and if a client is unhappy or you failed to deliver the services promised and meet expectation you'd refund someone their money but that's clearly not the case with Bella Salon. There is nothing else left to discuss furthermore so I will have to now go through the hassle to dispute the charge with my bank but a word to the wise ......
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SALON!
P.S.... As an example of their lack of integrity, one should also know that the reviews on here and Yelp from "past clients" that have had GREAT experiences are fake too!! I realized that right before writing this review that previous one posted by "Liz" was hairdresser I used and there's a second review from another...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS PLACE IS THE BIGGEST JOKE OF A SALON THE OWNER SENT MY WIFE HOME HYSTERICALLY CRYING AND COMPLETELY MESSED UP HER HAIR . The girl doing her hair actually said that it may turn green as she did not have the proper stuff to color it correctly, and had the owner Jacqueline bring the correct toner to the salon while my wife sat there thinking it was turning green . I called the salon and spoke to the owner Jacqueline and she was completely rude and told me her husband was a cop and I should not call her or discuss the issue at hand . I'm not a hair dresser and don't know what I'm talking about and she's probably correct as I wasn't trying to be a hair dresser nor claiming to ever be one . My wife actually paid for the services that was a complete failure . My wife has had her hair done in Nassau and other salons but we just moved To local town and looked up the rating of this salon and it came up as 5 star rating which has to be fake reviews. This woman Jacqueline is a extremely bad business owner and completely rude . I'll have to have my wife go to a salon she knows and have it corrected unfortunately. I beg you husbands please don't let your wife use this salon ! A happy wife is a happy life but...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is horrible. Went in for a 12:00 appt and didnāt get seen till about 12:40, ok so they were busy and got backed up. I get it. But then they asked what I wanted and I was very very specific with even the names and color of toners after my highlights. They assured me they had it. Very long story short, my blond hair that I just wanted to get highlights on the roots is now a combo of gray. Red and brown. The owner when told was dismissive. When I went home crying to my husband he called to get a solution as I couldnāt cause of how upset I was and she (Jacqueline) was so mean and rude to him saying heās doesn't know what heās talking about and hung up on him. Then when my husband called back she finally agreed to fix it but couldnāt say when because she had other clients first. So we said then we will just come and wait then. She then called the cops on us. Lol. She also mentioned that we shouldnāt make a big deal of this and to not call her because her brother was a police officer and we should be careful. Really ????? Nightmare of a day,...
