Sunshine Flowers — Local services in Town of Islip

I wanted to get flowers for my wife for her birthday so I decided to try a local florist in order to support a neighborhood business. Sunshine flowers had solid reviews but I must say I am very disappointed. First I picked out a $99 arrangement that I thought was nice and immediately I get hit with the upsell, either standard, deluxe or premium. I decide that she is worth the premium. Then the come the other extras, balloons, animals etc. I decide on the $7 ballon. So after the upgrades, tax, and $10 service fee I'm at $149. Still I'm fine with this price but when they are delivered, what a disappointment. The web shows a beautiful bouquet in a really nice purple vase. The reality was wilted flowers in a white vase.(see pictures ) My flowers lasted 3 days but my son’s flowers, which they purchased at stop and shop for less than half price, lasted a week. Omg I cannot recommend this flower shop more! The staff is so helpful in anything you may need and the owner is so passionate/dedicated to her work. Even though holidays get crazy busy, she always tries her best to do an amazing job with all her orders. I have told all my friends and family about this place and they always come back with positive things to say. She will accommodate to your price point and has a great selection. I stopped in here for a quick birthday floral arrangement and was so happy I did. After looking at the premade bouquets, I decided I wanted something a bit more customized. They were very patient with me during the process of selecting the flowers...5 types across 8 colors. To top it off, they had a nice selection of vases and was happy to find the medium size textured green one that's perfectly not too big or small. I highly recommend stopping here for your floral needs and getting exactly what you want without the mark up from big online...
