I used to love this place, the lentil soup truly is delicious and so is there baked goods.
Dropping 3 Stars for the simple fact that the gentleman behind the counter has no customer service experience.
I wanted hot chocolate as there was less than 1 cup left in the pot, asked if there was more. He said what is there should be just fine, if it was I would have never asked.
I ordered 4 almojƔbanas in which were freshly baked and delicious, a small lentil soup which is my absolute favorite and a pan con queso.
1 the service was awful and the pan con queso was moldy, see attached photos.
I am shocked! I am so used to always seeing the DoƱa behind the counter, this has never happened and I donāt think they will ever make it right for me again.
I will never step foot in this establishment again nor will I ever recommend to my family...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEmpanadas are what brought us here, but we were delighted to try some other authentic Colombian specialties, like the corn flats, chicken/lentil mixed soup, breads. We didn't know what most of the items were since this was out first time here, and while the servers were pleasant they couldn't really explain to us what we were pointing out to her in an effort to try some of the items that looked appealing to us. It didn't stop us though as we got a nice selection to get us started, surely will bring us back. The soup was delicious, the beef empanadas were crispy and full of flavor and perfect texture. The corn cakes with a white cheese was another great find and certainly could be add to our favorites! There are a few tables inside to sit and enjoy your purchase if you're lucky enough to find...
Read moreVery authentic baked goods. They offer a variety of breads and a lot of them with cheese. Their food is fresh, soups taste homemade ot a can we added stuff. Empanadas are meaty, you get actual chicken and steak in them. They are famous for their almojabanas which is a variety of pandebono, delicious always fresh baked. They also have a delicious whole wheat croissant which is hard to find in the afternoon. Ivgave inly 4 stars because pandeyucas, buñuelos and croissants are hard to find if you go after the very early morning rush. I love almojabanas but I want to eat a variety and not everyone can go early. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. Staff is super friendly. Don't change your recipes, keep it...
